Carol of the Bells Single
Commercial Release Date: December 3rd, 2012

"ILLUSTRATED" is a music project that was conceived in February 2012 by 26 year old virtuoso producer Sean Layton. His undoubtedly unique style is a mix of electro and dubstep that has caught on fire within the EDM scene. Just three months after launching "ILLUSTRATED", Sean received the respect and support from major music production software companies FL Studio and Sound Track Loops. In less than a year "ILLUSTRATED" has acquired over 27,000 followers on Twitter, and over 3,350 fans on Facebook (growing daily) due to word of mouth, and his maniacally dedicated work ethic. Illustrated's track "Subtle Hints" was also recently placed in a national commercial on the CW channel during a trailer for the new tv show "Beauty And The Beast". MoHo 180 Records is very proud to induct Illustrated into our label's roster. First up is his edgy rendition of the Xmas classic “Carol Of The Bells,” right on time for the upcoming holiday season. Expect more dance floor devastation from this star on the rise in the upcoming months!

Track: Carol of the Bells (Dubstep)

Coming right out of the gates with the classic and haunting “Carol of the Bells” melody, the track then dips into a deliciously synth heavy dub groove that's primed to get your head rockin'! The captivating hard bass line morphs it's way throughout the composition while the vocal “ahh's” dipping in between the drum hits keep things sonically entrancing. If Santa's sleigh has a sound system, this track is bumpin' in it for sure!!

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
