Lucinda Williams To Kick Off 27 City Summer Tour

Tour Includes Rescheduled Dates in Charlotte, Nashville, Columbus, St. Louis and Kansas City

NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Acclaimed singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams will kick off a 27-city summer tour in San Diego on July 7 in support of her latest Lost Highway release World Without Tears. Williams' brilliant live show will be stateside this summer and will include the five previously postponed dates from the spring tour in Charlotte, Nashville, Columbus, St. Louis and Kansas City.

World Without Tears, produced by Mark Howard, has sold over 350,000 copies to date. The album also received two Grammy nominations for BEST CONTEMPORARY FOLK ALBUM and BEST FEMALE ROCK VOCAL PERFORMANCE for the single "Righteously."

Heralded as one of the most important songwriters of her generation, Williams has garnered high critical praise for World Without Tears from top national publications such as Time, Vanity Fair, Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, Spin, Blender, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, among others.

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
