Rockie Fresh has been steady on his mixtape grind over the past couple of years releasing several notables like The Otherside Redux and this year's Driving 88, but now the Chicago MC is getting ready to make some big moves. Two weeks ago Rick Ross shouted him out during a radio show interview, while Rockie told MTV News that he was currently in talks with labels, and now it's confirmed that he's been added to the MMG roster.

Ross broke the news on Twitter early Thursday morning, writing, "Everyone Welcome @RockieFresh to MMG!!" along with a photo of Rockie signing his deal. Rockie tweeted the news, adding Young ni--a Trending #MMG and #GodisGreat.

During a visit to New York City's Hot 97radio station at the end of June,  Rick Ross sent a "shout out to the lil' homie" Rockie Fresh, adding, "I'm a fan of his music." At the time Rozay noted that Rockie had not been signed to MMG as yet, but my how things change in a couple of weeks.

"That was crazy," Rockie told MTV News just hours after the shout-out from Ross. "Me and him, we've been talking a lot back and forth. That's definitely one of my big homies."

Rockie Fresh is set to drop his new mixtape Electric Highway this fall, he revealed the title exclusively to MTV News.
