Wes Anderson seems to be trying to acquire a handful of new collaborators to his ensemble of players. Hot off the successful release of "Moonrise Kingdom," a new report has come out listing off the actors he's planning to approach for his as-yet-untitled new project.

Twitch is reporting that Anderson has approached Johnny Depp, Owen Wilson, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Jude Law, Jeff Goldblum, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe and Angela Lansbury for the movie, and that's honestly enough to get us on board. We might not know what the movie is about or where it will be set or what roles these people are playing, but how can a man as capable with an ensemble as Anderson is go wrong with that cast?

This would be Anderson's first time working with Depp, and we're very intrigued to see how that will play out. Depp usually plays his characters very big and steals the show in even his ensemble movies, but he'll have to tone it down a few notches for an Anderson project. Also we can't get over the idea of him and Murray acting opposite one another in a movie.

Also new to the fold are Law, Dafoe and Lansbury, but all of those seem like perfect fits for an Anderson movie. We're just happy to see that Wilson, Brody and Goldblum are back for more, and that Norton (who we adored in "Moonrise") made the cut and has been asked back as well. Now let's start speculating what this film could even possibly be about.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
