After becoming a mother in January, Beyoncé now has extra appreciation for all the hard work, dedication, and responsibility it takes to maintain a both a career and motherhood. In recognition of this growth, the new mom took some time out to applaud First lady Michelle Obama, for doing an exceptional job both with her family and career. On her newly relaunched site, Bey posted a heartfelt letter she wrote to Obama expressing how thankful and honored she is to have her as a part of her life.

Amongst many things, Beyoncé told the First Lady that she is a role model that her daughter Blue Ivy Carter can look up to, writing, “I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to.”

Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z have been outspoken supporters of President Obama’s presidential campaign, but the 30-year-old star has also worked closely with the First Lady on her own. Last year Bey linked with Obama to promote the national Let's Move! Campaign. The campaign was designed to target childhood obesity and to support the cause, Mrs. Carter remixed a version of her hit song, “Single Ladies,” into “Move Your Body,” which was distributed to junior high school students across the country.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
