The venue for tonight’s Elixir of Life & Emanations Visionary Art Gallery is…

ICAN STUDIOS, 35 MONIER ROAD, HACKEY WICK, LONDON E3 2PR

With the London Overground down for engineering work after 9pm, here’re some more transport options. The closest bus stop is Monier Road/Wansbeck Road, or Hackney Wick is a short walk away.

DRIVING: A12 - Chelmsford, Docklands, Blackwall Tunnel Take Old Ford exit. Turn right onto Wick Lane. At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Wick Lane. Turn right towards Monier Road. At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Monier Road E3 2PR.

PARKING: Ican Studios has an ample car park, which is on a first come first served basis. Ican is situated in a controlled parking zone, where single yellow line apply. Please check upright signs indicating where parking is allowed.

BUSES: Bus 488 – Hancock Road, towards Dalston Junction/Kingsland Road/Forest Road, E8. Alight at Monier Road and Wansbeck Road, E3.

Bus 276 – towards Stoke Newington. From Stratford Bus and Train Terminal (Stop C) situated in front Stratford Town Hall. Alight at Monier Road and Wansbeck Road, E3.

Buses 26 or 388 – Hackney Town Hall/Mare Street, towards Hackney Wick. Alight at Hackney Wick/
Trowbridge Road.

TRAINS: Nearest Overground train station is Hackney Wick located at corner of Wallis Road and White Post Lane. The Overground is down after 9pm on Saturday night, but rail replacement buses are available.

UNDERGROUND: Nearest Underground tube station is Bromley-By-Bow. From this station take bus 488. Alight at Monier Road and Wansbeck Road E3.

DLR: Nearest DLR stations are Bow Church Road, Pudding Mill and Stratford. To get to venue, go to bus stop (J) at Bow Church for buses 488 or 276. Alight at Monier Road and Wansbeck Road E3.

WALKING: Hackney Wick Overground Station to venue is approximately 14mins; Pudding Mill DLR Station to
venue is approximately 19mins.

• From Baker Street, Euston Station, Kings Cross Station, Angel Station and Islington, take the #30 bus to Hackney Wick.

• Or take the Victoria Line to Highbury & Islington, then take the #30 bus to Hackney Wick.

• From Liverpool Street Station, take the #8 bus towards Bow and get off at Hackney Wick.

• From Shoreditch/Bethnal Green Road, take the #8 bus from stop J towards Bow.

• From Dalston take the #488 towards Bromley-by-Bow. Get off at Monier Road/Wansbeck Road.

• From Stratford, take the Rail Replacement Bus towards Hampstead Heath and get off at Hackney Wick.

Cash ticket sales will be available at the door for £20 until 2am.
Ticket holders can gain entry until 3am.
Try to get there early to avoid disappointment on the door!

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
