Lana Del Rey Gets Remixed By Producer Clams Casino

Lana Del Rey’s recent performance on "Saturday Night Live" didn’t do much to boost confidence in her abilities to command the attention of an audience, but at least people are still digging her music right? The singer released a few very popular singles last year, including “Video Games” and “Blue Jeans,” and producer Clams Casino (who produced multiple tracks on A$AP Rocky’s Live.Love.A$AP mixtape) decided to put his own spin on “Born to Die,” the title track of her upcoming album. The track is set to appear on an upcoming remix EP along with some material from the Gorillaz’ Damon Albarn.

Before taking the stage on SNL this past weekend, Lana Del Rey told MTV News that she was feeling pretty confident about her performance. "I'm a good musician ... I have been singing for a long time, and I think that ['SNL' creator] Lorne [Michaels] knows that ... it's not a fluke decision,” she said.

After performing, however, the criticism came pouring out on Twitter from celebrities and fans alike. “NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams even weighed in, though his comments were originally intended to be private, in an e-mail for Gawker Media founder Nick Denton. Williams called the performance “one of the worst outings in ‘SNL’ history’” in the email, which was eventually posted on Gawker.com.

Lana Del Rey's debut album Born to Die is due out on January 23.
