[url="http://www.slashfilm.com/denzel-washington-the-equalizer/"]/Film reported[/url] that a press release from Sony updated the project's status, which until now had been pitched as a collaboration between Paul Haggis and [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/14200/personmain.jhtml"]Russell Crowe[/url] with the Aussie actor starring.

[b]Chris Pratt Could Star In Kathryn Bigelow's Bin Laden Film[/b]
In what is by far the most surprising casting news of the week, [url="http://twitchfilm.com/news/2011/12/breaking-chris-pratt-in-talks-for-kathryn-bigelows-kill-bin-laden.php"]Twitch reported [/url]that [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/304541/personmain.jhtml"]Chris Pratt[/url], the lovely Andy Dywer from "Parks and Recreation," is now in talks to star in [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/72038/personmain.jhtml"]Kathyrn Bigelow[/url]'s untitled Osama Bin Laden drama, known casually as "Kill Bin Laden." "Warrior" star [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/229458/personmain.jhtml"]Joel Edgerton[/url] had been long connected to the project but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.

[b]George Clooney Joins Proposition 8 Play for One Night Only[/b]
As part of the benefit for the American Foundation for Equal Rights, [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/12193/personmain.jhtml"]George Clooney[/url] will participate in a [url="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/george-clooney-dustin-lance-black-prop-8-marriage-equality-272999"]one-night production of "8,"[/url] a play written by "J. Edgar" screenwriter Dustin Lance Black about the historic overturning of Proposition 8, the law prohibiting gay and lesbian marriages in California.

[b]'Hanna' Star Saoirse Ronan to Learn 'How I Live Now'[/b]
[url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/404849/personmain.jhtml"]Saoirse Ronan[/url] will star in the upcoming adaptation of the book by Meg Rosoff, "How I Live Now." The story follows two girls as they struggle to survive in the woods at the outset of World War II.
