We're just under a week away from the premiere of David Fincher's "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," one of the most anticipated movies of the holiday season. There has been so much talk about every aspect of the upcoming film, but none has received as much attention as Rooney Mara, the woman bringing the film's heroine to life.

This new TV spot focuses on Mara as Lisbeth Salander, the disturbed genius research assistant Daniel Craig's Mikael Blomkvist brings in to help find a killer inside an influential family in a remote part of Sweden.

Aside from Mara's extreme look in the film, she has already begun to earn awards talk for her role as Salander.

The same role made an international star out of Noomi Rapace, the actress who originally played Salander in the Swedish adaptations, which played to audiences around the world. She can now be seen in "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows."
