It’s that time of year again, when you can finally get away with channeling your inner monster, freak, or that downright weird alter ego. Cable TV lineups are now heavy with reruns of cult favorite horror movies and it’s more than likely that you’ll find Michael Jackson’s full-length “Thriller” video on repeat as well. Now, no disrespect to the King of Pop, but with rappers like Kanye West and Tyler, The Creator running around, there’s a whole new batch of creepy music videos floating around. Check out RapFix’s countdown of the top 5 creepiest hip-hop videos that aired in 2011.

1. MellowHype – “64”
This video is isn't for the faint of heart. Mellowhype’s “64” will literally have you cringing in anticipation, wondering what kind of sick images will flash across the screen next. With segments reminiscent of horror film, The Grudge—starring that creepy, dark haired ghost—this video will definitely get you in the spirit of Halloween. Hell, it might actually get the spirit in you.

2. Kanye West – “Monster”
Kanye West brought along a few of his “Monster” buddies for this video. Jay-Z, Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj all make appearances in this spooky, off-the-wall masterpiece. The fun begins with Yeezy’s bedroom scene, starring two dead models, it continues with a little bit of cannibalism during Jigga’s verse and climaxes with a profile of Nicki Minaj’s derriere during a battle with her alter ego.

3. Tyler, The Creator – “Yonkers”
MTV’s 2011 “Best New Artist” winner, Tyler, The Creator has taken creepy to another level with his downright disturbing clip for the single “Yonkers.” His menacing tone on the track, paired with the black-and-white visuals, create a perfectly creepy—and awesome—effect. Top that off with roaches, puke, a noose, blacked out eyeballs and we have a top contender.

4. Kid Cudi – “No One Believes Me”
Kid Cudi gets his Edward Cullen on in the visuals for “No One Believes Me.” The vampire-inspired reel might leave you with a bit of anxiety, if only because you’re not really sure what’s happening. And if deserted neighborhoods, blood-splattered windows and fangs aren’t creepy enough, the random gazing toddler will definitely make your skin crawl.

5. Frank Ocean – “Thinking About You”
Singer/songwriter extraordinaire, Frank Ocean, definitely confused the masses with the video for his song “Thinking About You.” Despite his lovesick lyrics, the video is full of teepees, death and strange mid-century references. Don’t rack your brain trying to find the symbolism between the track and cinema—we’re pretty sure there isn’t any.
