Jimmy Henchmen Facing Federal Gun Charges

Beleaguered talent manager and alleged criminal mastermind James “Jimmy Henchmen” Rosemond has been the target of police officials after getting slammed with drug trafficking charges over the summer.

The co-owner of Czar Entertainment, which reportedly once managed the careers of singers Akon and Brandy and rapper The Game, now has to contend with additional charges after Drug Enforcement Administration officials seized firearms after conducting searches of his properties.

Federal prosecutors in Brooklyn indicted Rosemond with the additional gun charges after finding a Mac-11 sub-machine gun and a Ruger 9mm semi-automatic pistol in the searches. With a prior felony conviction already on his record, Jimmy Henchmen could face the mandatory minimum of 30 years for possession of the machine gun alone under federal law.

Rosemond appeared in the Brooklyn federal court this past Friday (September 26) to contend the latest charges, armed with defense attorney Gerald Shargel – who once defended Mob boss John Gotti – and pleading not guilty. Shargel said of his latest high profile client, “I intend to represent and defend Mr. Rosemond vigorously.”

For Jimmy Henchmen, this latest legal snafu comes as the industry insider faces money laundering charges along with a charge alleging that he ran a cocaine operation that shipped kilos of the drug between Los Angeles and New York encased in music equipment storing boxes.

Former artist the Game recently spoke on his friend and says the admist the drama the mogul remains in good spirits.

"I talked to Jimmy, he was in good spirits," Game said of Henchman, who is currently locked up but has not been convicted of anything. "Well, the best spirits anybody could be in that position. I was actually surprised to hear him laugh and just be cool about it."
