Press Release: This EP is Recorded between July and August 2009 during the first Slok's Brazilian Dj Tour. Alessandro Russo aka SLOK is an Italian musician, dj and label manager who started his career with productions as forerunner of the italian's breakbeat, Jungle & drum n bass, with his albums ‘They Call it Jungle’ and ‘Freak 2000’ produced for Irma Records. After a change to electronic sounds in 2006, the international club hit 'Lonely Child' released on the Satoshie Tomiie / Hector Romero's imprint SAW Recordings boosted his musical career quickly. His discography also includes releases on such esteemed labels as Plastic Fantastic (as Stereonova), Get Physical Music, Circle Music, Pacha, Baroque, 4Kenzo, Turbo, My Favourite Robot, Juicy, Definition, King Kong and of course on his own Electronic Petz label. He also runs Magma, an underground dance oriented, syndicated radio show aired on 47 FM Italian Radio stations. As a DJ, he has toured half the world Brazil, France, Austria, Russia, Canada, Croatia, Portugal, South Africa, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Hungary and of course he’s well-known in his native Italy. His productions have received the support of major players such as Sasha, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, DJ T, M.A.N.D.Y, Tiga, Pete Tong, Paul Van Dyk and many more.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
