REPUBLIC ARTISTS BOAT PARTY ( DUTCH MASTER)

& AFTER PARTY AT SCALA

Saturday 25th July 2009

18:00 - 06:00

Summer, we all hope, pray and honestly believe (really) is almost upon us... but just to be safe you should all sacrifice a virgin to appease the Sun god!

In preparation for the not too distant future, where London will be submerged beneath the ocean due to global warming, Republic Artists will be hosting the good time event of the season with a boat party on the Thames.

If feel-good house music was money we'd be up to our asses in Somali pirates before we even got to Tower Bridge. However it isn't, so the fabulous Dutch Master (capacity 370) will be free to journey rockingly (metaphorically) through East London and hopefully back.

There are 3 open decks to watch the setting sun over Canary Wharf, the Dome, the Thames barrier and the old wharf warehouses of the 19th century. That is if you can drag yourself away from either of the 2 dance floors on board, with their amazing line-up of DJs from the UK, Europe and South America.

So for more randomness than the fate of the S.S.Minnow, and more happy endings than a series of the Love Boat, check out our DJ crew:

Eden Ibiza '09 headliners - This Is Stereo

The untouchable (but very huggable) - DJ Tomasuchy

Our very own pirate (of sorts), Passion FM's - Craig H

'Come into my house' (boat) resident in Paris. French DJ - Fred Buckanon

Gettin' down (with the ship). Offthechart.com house, breaks & funk DJ - Matt Wray

And special guest, mix-it-up, global travelling, Rumba DJ Crew memeber from Ecuador - DJ Deoh

with support from Lewis Maddox & Zero C.

--------------------------------------

All these sound waves will surely 'wet' your appetite for taking the party to the next level; the biggest South African re-union/party/DJ line-up/all of the above in London ever, at Scala Kings X. Home of Republic Artists biggest & wildest party of 2008.

4 floors, 1,500 up for it clubbers, techno, electro, jackin' & fidget house. All. Night. Long!

There's even a secret after-party if you've still got the energy.

An unforgettable boat party along the Thames with free transfer and entry to Scala for a monster party 'til dawn, and secret after-party access. All for only 25 pounds.

Boat leaves from Tower Pier at 6 p.m. sharp. Be on it. Get on it.

Republic Artists. Keeping Clubland Alive......come hell or high water.

The nearest tube: Tower Hill

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
