beatFREAK is back on Friday 17th April Fluid.

The first night of 09 will deliver something a bit different. This time round resident & guest DJs will be playing sets both in the club & the bar. Expect trademark electronic beats in the club and a right old mash-up in the bar!

Residents Kevin Casey & Philly Blunt will be joined by Xerxes, Dany D'Angelo, Paul Von Goulding & Mister Norman on the night.

As usual things kick-off in the bar at 8pm and continue in both the club & bar till 4am

XERXES is currently resident at Tempo Tantrum, a monthly club night at Jam in Shoreditch and a record label which has been delivering releases for over 8 years.

DANY D'ANGELO a beatFREAK regular and never fails to deliver. He is resident at The Poison and runs his own Ibiza Sound System club night in Birmingham and recently featured at Poisoned Republic at Scala.

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
