The Ole Miss and Mississippi State football teams are scheduled to meet in the 2023 Egg Bowl at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, Mississippi. The game is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. CT. 

Ole Miss, ranked No. 12 in The Associated Press poll, enters the matchup 9-2 overall and 5-2 in the SEC. Most recently, Ole Miss defeated Louisiana-Monroe 35-3 on Nov. 18. Mississippi State comes into the contest 5-6 overall and 1-6 in the SEC. On Nov. 18, MS State beat Southern Mississippi 41-20. Entering Thursday, Ole Miss leads the all-time series 66-46-6 vs. MS State. 

Lane Kiffin is the Ole Miss football head coach. Greg Knox is the Mississippi State football interim head coach.

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020."
