Thinking of getting away for the weekend? There's still time to book a hotel and get the heck out of your house for a few days. Sure, it's typically a good idea to plan in advance, but sometimes it pays to be a bit spontaneous.

Even if you don't have a destination in mind, these deals may have you considering traveling somewhere new. We've perused some of the best last-minute hotel deals so you can rest easy for a few days in a completely different place. You'll come back refreshed and your wallet won't be crying.

1. Book a Vegas getaway for 40% off

Ever visited the Las Vegas strip? If entertainment, gaming, and lavish sights and sounds are what you're looking for this weekend, you can't beat this Express Deal at Priceline. For just $125 a night — that's 40% off — you can let Priceline choose get a room for you at a 3.5-star casino hotel situated right on the Strip. Priceline will select your hotel and all you need to do is specify your arrival and departure dates. This deal is perfect for anyone who isn't quite sure where they want to go. Become a Hotels.com member and get 25% off or more with member prices on participating hotels. You have to book by April 2, but there are a wide variety of destinations available to choose from, including hot cities like Nashville, Las Vegas, Chicago, New York, and many more.

4. Book a beach trip to Panama City for 40% off

This hotel boasts some magnificent views is about 18 minutes from the Dallas World Trade Center, as well as plenty of other fun hot spots to visit.

8. Head down south to Atlanta for 28% off

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
