TL;DR: As of August 7, you can get a one-year Plus Membership to Sam's Club for just $50 instead of $100 — that's a 50% discount.

Grocery prices may be higher than they’ve been in a while, but there are still ways to save. Joining a warehouse club could give you more opportunities for great deals on groceries and home essentials, and few grocery stores can match Sam’s Club.

With a regular Sam’s Club membership, you get great deals on groceries, appliances, pet supplies, clothes, jewelry, technology, and so much more. With a Sam’s Club Plus Membership, you get all that and even more. And for a limited time, a Sam’s Club Plus Membership is only $50, a full 50% off.

Get deals on groceries, home goods, and more

There are a lot of ways to save at Sam’s Club. You could go for deals on bulk groceries and grab delicious produce and baked goods from the in-house bakery. Or you could grab some home goods and stock your kitchen with everything from fresh dishes to new appliances. While you’re shopping, you can drop by the jewelry counter and get a ring cleaned or pick up a prescription at the pharmacy.

That’s all just a normal Sam’s Club membership, though. Sam’s Club Plus gives you access to more, starting with 2% back on qualifying purchases up to $500 a year and free shipping on online orders. You can even get into the store before the crowds by joining Early Shopping. Imagine: almost no lines and first choice of fresh bread.

Some of the most exciting perks you get with this wholesale club membership include fuel savings at select locations, discounts at the Sam’s Club pharmacy, and deals on hotels, rental cars, live events, attractions, and more. Your Sam’s Club membership could get you a discount to LegoLand or a cheaper entry into the San Diego Zoo!

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
