Use rotten beets sensibly in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Every Sunday between 5 a.m. and 12 p.m., Jorna visits the island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and sells turnips. They cost between 90 and 110 bells per piece, but in the best case, they can be resold for up to 800 bells per piece. Selling is possible from the next Monday up to and including the following Saturday, with the price changing twice a day at 12 noon. If players haven't sold their turnips after a week, they will rot.

But that's not a drama, because something useful can still be done with the rotten turnips. They can be used as bait for ants and flies. To do this, the beets simply have to be placed on the ground. With a little luck, ants romp on them a little later. Incidentally, it is the only way to get to the ants. They appear all year round.

If you don't have any rotten beets, you can also lay out other rubbish such as cans, old boots or tires and look out for the animals. But be careful: Too much rubbish on the island harms the rating. If you are after five stars or want to keep your top grade, you should be economical with laying out rotten beets or rubbish.

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
