Ja Rule ft Ashanti-Mesmerize

Now i'm not a Ja rule fan at all. Kinda hard to buy into his gansta persona when he's like 4'11" & half of his songs are about love/relationships. Real thugs don't have time for that kinda thing. But, I can't hate on a well produced song. Irv Gotti & his radio friendly ear produced this and added gorgeous as anything Ashanti to sing the hook. It's an excellent hip hop/R&B mix that went to #2 on the pop charts off the 4 times platinum album, The Last Temptation, in 2002.

That was a good song. Ja Rule is actually a good artist, people just give him shit for acting hard while having an R&B alter-ego. Ehh...he was real enough to have his posse stab 50 Cent 5 times. 50's got a restraining order against him. ??
