We’ve almost made it, everyone. In less than two weeks, 2020 will finally be in the books and behind us all. What better way to celebrate the end of the year than with one of the most unexpected, but delightful collabs 2020 has seen. German house duo Tube & Berger have teamed up with Like Mike for “Pineapple Tacos,” a bouncy tune that gives you a rush of disco and 80’s vibes.

Both acts have been staying busy in 2020, Tube & Berger have been steadily releasing music, most recently their False Gods EP. It’s also been a solid year for venerable main stage duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, heck, they just put out a Christmas album. “Pineapple Tacos,” however, sees the parties involved step away from their signature sounds for something completely different and unique.

The vibe is set right away by the 80s sounding synths. The beat is such that you can just picture some dude with a mullet and wearing pastel colored denim bobbing his head to the beat. I really like the melodic string synths, another nice 80s touch. There’s also a brief little trap drum breakdown to give it some Like Mike flair. “Pineapple Tacos” by Tube & Berger featuring Like Mike is just good clean fun. Give it a listen below.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
