Seven Lions and Jason Ross are one of our favorite pairings in dance music — whenever they get together for a new track, it’s always bass-fueled euphoric bliss. Their fourth collaboration together, out today, “Known You Before,” is no different.

“Known You Before” is the third single off Ross’ debut studio album 1000 Faces, and features vocals from Emilie Brandt, who you might remember from “Lost” off Illenium’s sophomore album Awake.

Like their tracks before, it’s a brilliant blend of hard hitting bass notes and textured super saws that presents the best of both worlds in bass and trance. And while that’s all going on, Brandt’s voice keeps it light and effervescent with a beautiful vocal melody.

You can listen to “Known You Before” below, out now on Seven Lions’ Ophelia Records. Find tickets to see Seven Lions on tour here; find tickets to see Jason Ross on tour here.

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
