There’s no doubt that over the past couple of years Timmy Trumpet has started becoming a household name. The Australian producer/DJ/instrumentalist has become a force on the EDM scene working with huge names including Hardwell, KSHMR, Carnage and Steve Aoki. None other than Deorro recently remixed Timmy’s massive big room/psy-trance banger “World at Our Feet” earlier this summer, and now, Timmy has returned the favor for the So Cal bounce legend with a radio friendly remix of Deorro’s track “All This Time.”

This is one of those great remixes that maintains the integrity of the original, mainly the vocals, but is still different enough to be a fresh take. There’s not a whole lot of instrumentation during the verse, really allowing the vocals to stand above all. The percussion starts to come in during the buildup as well as the synth melody. All this builds up to an irresistible radio-friendly drop. The tempo is probably happy hardcore, but the production is subtle, it’s not a bombastic bassline. There’s also soft synth notes giving the drop a beautiful melody. We finally get some brief trumpet notes during the outro of the song, if there was any doubt this was a Timmy Trumpet track.

Check out Timmy Trumpet’s remix of Deorro’s “All This Time.” out now on Ultra Records. Make sure to check out Timmy on his upcoming North American dates!

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
