Rezz continues her musical exploration with a new single, “Dark Age.” The leading track off her forthcoming EP is hypnotic, gritty and distorted. Oh yeah, and dark as ever!

The producer experiments with haunting guitar and a hip hop inspired beat before moving into her signature industrial attack with low, rupturing bass. The sound design is impeccable, as the heavy bass is countered by white noise and subtle, distant screams.

A twinkling melody comes in sounding like a childhood jewelry box, something that a tiny ballerina would dance to — if the ballerina were also an alien. “Dark Age” is more than enough to pique the senses — all the usual ones and others beyond basic human instinct.

Rezz’s Beyond the Senses EP drops in full on July 24. Get ready.
