CKY Frontman:

Recommended Posts

ckybloodfill8qi.gif CKY have set a June 28 release date through Island Def Jam for their third album, "An Answer Can Be Found".

Commented CKY guitarist/vocalist Deron Miller: "Our album is finally completed and all I can say is that it's a masterpiece. We have busted our asses for the last year pushing our abilities and talents to outdo what we have done in the past, and without disrespecting our other records, I feel this one blows them away. We have succesfully progressed beyond our expectations. I want to extend congratulations to Chad Ginsburg for producing and mixing this record top-fucking-notch and taking the level of this band even further than I ever imagined, and to Jess Margera for delivering the drumming that this album called for.

"To the CKY Alliance worldwide...this record is totally for you. We are grateful to you for sticking with us for so long and I know you will be pleased. Much appreciation to Paul Pontius, Island Records and our management team for believing in us and letting us do exactly what we needed and wanted to do...make the best rock record of 2005..."

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
