New international event series - Outlier - curated and headlined by Bonobo has assembled a genre-defying programme of music from some of the industries most innovative talents:

Maya Jane Coles who will play as both herself and her darker alias, Nocturnal Sunshine. Continuing the theme of bass-leaning pseudonyms, Paul Woolford will also make an appearance as Special Request.

Joining the already stellar lineup is a man who needs little introduction: head-honcho of Worldwide and Bronswood Recordings, Gilles Peterson. After a game-changing year in 2015, George FitzGerald will also join ranks, with experimental producer Lapalux and Erased Tapes duo Kiasmos adding to the event's live music offering.

You will also be able to enjoy Alex Smoke, who has his next album 'Love Over Will' set to drop on R&S on January 22nd, as well as Lone and enigmatic producer Romare. Other guests include Throwing Snow, Trevino, Glenn Astro and Hodge, with more still to be added to the landmark launch party.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
