Metallica performed the last sideshow of their Australian tour last night at Melbourne's Myer Music Bowl with Police called to stop eager fans who couldn't get a ticket attempting to get in regardless.

The fence surrounding the Myer Music Bowl was pushed over at one stage with one fan telling Undercover News about four people ran through before pursued by security.

Police were called and lined about 20 squad cars around the fenced off area to successfully block further attempts of a break through and diffuse a potential riot. They patrolled the fenced off area through-out the gig stopping any chaos brewing.

Metallica at the Myer Music Bowl was the ultimate blokes night out with the audience made up on maybe 90% male fans.

Admittedly, I've been married for over 5 years now, so chasing women isn't a major pass time. However, a concert comprised of 90% males isn't my bag.

And anyway, Metallica, bah. I wouldn't go even if I did have a ticket.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
