Nickelback will kick off 2004 with a tour across Canada, promoting their latest album "The Long Road."

The Vancouver-based band -- lead singer/guitarist Chad Kroeger, guitarist/vocalist Ryan Peake, bassist Mike Kroeger and drummer Ryan Vikedal -- will launch the 22-date tour Jan. 19 in Kelowna, B.C.

Accompanying Nickelback across the country will be Canadian hard-rock trio Three Days Grace. Staind, Trapt, Thornley and The Trews will also perform at selected venues.

Nickelback first gained recognition for the self-produced 1999 release "The State." Their second hit album, "Silver Side Up," has sold over nine million copies worldwide.

The group is currently on a European tour promoting "The Long Road," released in September.
