  1. Those people are not aware of the illnesses there are, that can make a person 'disabled', long after they are grown up, like

    parkinson

    huntington

    Creutzfeld Jacobs

    a stroke

    and similar.

You may never wish somebody to catch a desease like that..... but sometimes it is very difficult not to! [2finga'salute]

  2. This is what i wish every-one who celebrates his/her birthday

    "Forever Young"

May God bless and keep you always

May your wishes all come true

May you always do for others

And let others do for you

May you build a ladder to the stars

    And climb on every rung

    May you stay forever young

    Forever young, forever young

    May you stay forever young.

May you grow up to be righteous

May you grow up to be true

May you always know the truth

And see the lights surrounding you

    May you always be courageous

    Stand upright and be strong

    May you stay forever young

    Forever young, forever young

    May you stay forever young.

May your hands always be busy

May your feet always be swift

May you have a strong foundation

When the winds of changes shift

May your heart always be joyful

And may your song always be sung

    May you stay forever young

    Forever young, forever young

    May you stay forever young.

  3. These kind of jokes make a slow landing in the mind of some-one who does not speak English all day.

I was already telling my husband about it when I realised what a cemetery was...........

    double LOL!

  4. A friend of ours, who collects LP's, say it sounds better, but he is always bussy spraying fluids and so on.

I cannot tell you, I am growing def..... :(

That's hell for someone who loves music... :wha':

At the moment I can still hear but to hear clear (without non-existing background noices) I need a headphone. :groovin:

And subtile differences like our friend can hear, I do not hear.

  5. There's one movie I always watch when it's on TV:

    Steel Magnolia's

I've watched it over ten times now and I will see it again this winter.... I hope!

BTW: I noticed that when I buy a film on DVD I never watch it anymore! Its in the closet, and then I think: I will watch it when it's in TV, and when it is broadcasted I think: I do not need to watch, it is in my closet!

(gone with the wind - once upon a time in the west)

    Do you have the same?

  6. Lots of people do not realise that paralized men are very often: 'not well'

The bloodcirculation in the paralized parts is not stimulated by normal moving.

And an infection does not hurt, because they do not feel pain in these parts, so it is often discovered too late. And than the illness will need lots of antibiotics, and after a while the germs get resistent to these medicins.

So they need more! All those medicins are bad for the organs and do not forget that a hart is a pump that will try to do his best to make the whole system circulate.

(kidney are somethimes also a couse of death: they can get poisened by too much antibiotics en overworked by trying to clean the blood from germs)

And another factor is: they often get spots where the skin disapeares because they sit the entire day in the same position.

(this is again one case when I do not know the right words in English, but I think you know what I mean)

It is simple but I never realised it until I got confrontated with it.

My daughter lives in an apartmentbuilding together with 27 other crippled young folks and some of them are leg-paralised by birth (spina bifida) or accident.

They do not get very old and they know it.

It is a relieve that they do not feel the pain!

  7. it looks like what I've seen in France in a Roman ruin

the fire-place for heating the floor

But to be shure you should see the square entirely. This should NOT be closed of course, that should have ways to transport the warm air.....

My husband, a historian also thinks it has something to do with heating. He is not sure, he also needs more info.

  8. I think, that all women, who have had no surgery and do not use botox and stuff like that, have more reason to be proud of their bodies than she has!

Especialy the ones who do not look perfect and are happy and satisfied with it!

(for me, there is a difference between Cher and Dolly Parton: Cher takes it all serious and to DP it is all a great joke; Cher IS just a body and DP has a nice wrapped up [screwed up?] body with a healty mind in it)

  9. METHOD!!!

When I kill somebody, here in the Netherlands, I will be walking outside again after max 6 years!

And to get punnished that way I will have to kill somebody I've never seen before without any reason!

The highest punishment I've seen the last few years was 9 years.

Here it is a custom that if you behave well in prison, that you get a 20% reduce, and long before you go several weekends on trial-leave!

We have even had a lady who drove far over the max. speed past a school, she had no driverslicence and therefor was not assured, she killed a kid and got away with 240 hours working-punishment. (you paint a school or you work in a park or something like that!)

My country is a paradise for criminals!!!!

  10. This news gives me mixed feelings...

for one point I think that this man should stay in jail

    but on the other hand

it would give a certain unbalance in justice if you punish someone extra for killing a man who is famous.........

But indeed, he will be safer in jail, there will be lennon fans who are enough disturbed to do stupid things.

BTW, how is it possible that someone who is sentenced for 20 years is still in jail after 24 years?
