Chris and Steve Martinez were born to be DJ/producers. Influenced by their fathers love for music, the Bronx natives received a proper education and developed a true appreciation of the power of a good house tune at an early age. They released their first record as teenagers and have just dropped

On Thursday the 20th of December 2012 CLR will celebrate another event in its residency at the legendary Cielo club in New York. This time Monoloc and Rebekah, two of the young, up-and-coming label-artists will represent the imprint and will surely delight the crowd with their unique blends of cutting edge Techno. Monoloc just recently released his highly entertaining, deep and eclectic debut album entitled “Drift” on CLR, which is currently gaining much praise and respect in the Techno community. Rebekah, who shortly ago joined the CLR booking agency has been making massive leaps as a dj and producer lately and her unadulterated raw talent can be felt in everything she is doing. The event forms part of the “Drift” album tour and we are already looking forward to this exiting date in the pre-Christmas period in New York. We hope you have a chance to join us at the Cielo club on December 20th for another very promising night!

“No matter what sounds you profess to be your music of choice, chances are, that at some point over the last five years, you will have got your rocks off to Matt Edwards.”
Radio Slave, aka Matt Edwards, is a man whose talent has been proven. His productions, remixes and DJ sets one make you move inside and out. Originally from Brighton in the UK, Radio Slave re-located to Berlin in 2008 to be in the epicenter of the electronic music world. His Rekids ‘No Sleep’ EP series, beginning in 2006 and currently on Part Six, are always highly anticipated and coveted by DJs. They include essential DJ cuts like ‘Screaming Hands”, which was remixed by Josh Wink, “Tantakatan”, remixed by Shed, and “Koma Koma”. Radio Slave’s EP releases ”Bell Clap Dance’ and “Grindhouse” became two of the biggest dance records of 2008. He also works under the aliases Quiet Village , Rekid, Matthew E and Sea Devils, with musical styles ranging from spaced-out stoner funk to propulsive dance floor tunes, and from intricate widescreen cinerama to blissful electronic pop. Radio Slave’s remixes of artists like Talking Heads, Danny Tenaglia, Kylie Minogue, Carl Craig, Trentmoller, DJ Hell, Tiefschwarz, Gwen Stefani, Le Noir, Sir Elton John and Sasha, deconstruct and reconstruct the original inspiration into explosive compositions that become his uniquely his own.
His label, Rekids, run by Radio Slave and James Masters, arrived 2006 with Radio Slave’s own “My Bleep” setting the standard for future excellence. As well as Radio Slave’s own releases, the label has since released EPs and albums from Toby Tobias, Mr G, Luke Solomon, Matt O’Brien, Spencer Parker, Jjak Hogan, Runaway, Nina Kraviz,label compilations and Radio Slave’s own ‘Works!’ compilation in 2010. He also helms the Cabin Fever series of semi-bootleg edits that have been topping dance charts in 2012. (Bio edit compliments of Albert Freeman from Halyconline)
