  1. Those are just record labels. I want a record store, like juno records. Thanks for your help.
  2. I am looking for an online music store similar to Juno Records, but US based. I love the CD Single selection they have on Juno Records, but shipping is so expensive. Are there any stores like that, just in the USA? Thanks. :)
  3. I actually saw Armin Van Burren Live at the Lovefest San Fransisco 2008. It was amazing. Deadmau5 is also one of my favorite electronic producers of all time. You guys should seriously check out his new album.
  4. The Grateful Dead are/were awesome. People from all walks of life could enjoy their music, and have a great time at their shows.
  5. LOL, it's no problem. It just surprised me is all. :)

One of my favorite groups of all times. At least their older stuff with their first vocalist Skye Edwards. One of their first hits is also my favorite song of theirs. The track is called Trigger Hippie, and Skye's voice is even more amazing than all the rest of her songs, if that's even possible. The First Video is the Music Video for Trigger Hippie and the Second one is footage from them peforming it live.
  7. Umek - Gatex (Tiesto Remix) It's a really good track.
  8. Thanks, I appreciate the compliment. I was thinking of migrating to a payed host and buying top level domain name. Any hosting suggestions?
  9. It was wasn't it? Oh by the, thanks for the comment on my blog. :)

  11. Jeez, what's the average shot length on that music video? 4 Seconds? Anyways, you guys sound good. :)
  12. Money As Debt Seriously worth the watch. I thought it was fitting what with the correct economic crisis and all.
  13. You should pick up the fairly new Burzum Anthology. It's basically a summary of all his music. It's really good.
  14. Is it just me, or does the lead singer look a bit like Dr. Spock?
  15. Black Sabbath - Paranoid God, I love that song. :)
  16. I really haven't read the wikipedia page. The only Metal Documentary I know of is Metal: A Headbangers Ball, and I have seen that one, but it's been a few years. I know they have a part focusing on Black Metal, although I don't recall the specifics. Why?
  17. Wow, DJ Shadow? He is one of my favorites. He actually lives like 5 minutes from my house, then again, so does Metallica. I'm spoiled. :-)
  18. For one, he is completley crazy. He recently converted to Odinism, and add a name his family hasnt used since Viking days. Recently, when he was denied parole, he was allowed to go free for one to be with friends and family. He dissapeared. When they finally caught him, he was in a stolen car with several loaded assault rifles, pistols and shot guns, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. For that 13 months was added to his sentence. Here's a Wikipedia page on him: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varg_Vikernes
  19. Varg Verkines, AKA Burzum, is actually currently serving a 21 year sentence, the most sever possible under Norwegian law, for the murder of friend and member of Mayhem, and 3 church arsons. Not a very nice guy. He's pretty crazy, actually. Although he is a very talented musician. Thanks for the warm welcome!
  20. As this is my first post here, I thought I would create a topic that could lead to some real discussion. I recently read a book called Lords of Chaos, which chronicles the rise of the Black Metal Scene in Norway and Sweden in the 90's. This of course covered the many church burnings and other anti-christian acts. Specifically, it focused on the Members of Mayhem, and the one man band Burzum. This led me to wonder what others thought about this whole thing. What are your opinions on the music produced during those times, the people who made it, and their actions? Anyways, I am glad to be at Beat King, I signed up a long time ago, but kind of forgot about. Now I'm here!
