MIAMI, Florida (AP) -- Just a few years ago, Scott Storch was one of the top producers in pop music, living in a $10.5 million mansion on an exclusive Miami island, driving a phalanx of luxury cars and dating the likes of Paris Hilton and Lil Kim.

Nowadays, Scott Storch, 34, is missing in action. He owes over $500,000 in real estate taxes and had a warrant out for his arrest when he failed to show up in court in a child-support case last month. He has not had a top 10 hit in three years. He still has his waterfront marble mansion, but his lawyer, Guy Spiegelman, says Storch is attempting to refinance it after a "catastrophic occurrence this year" resulting from "mismanagement." Storch no longer works with his old manager or publicist. He hasn't talked to either of his children in months.

This is so typical. A few years ago I called it when I saw him in a magazine after buying his million dollar house in Florida. It's a shame too because he could make good tracks when he put his mind to it and not repeat his other melodies and themes. Real shame. Maybe he'll grow up and make a comeback in a few years with a new style.

I also knew this guy was a kook when he threatened to kill himself if Lil Kim didn't marry him.

  2. The problem is that the idiots controlling them(They're both Federally run, what a surprise)kept on giving loans out to people with no income. And then when things go downhill, they use tax payer money to bail out shitty businesses. I'm glad it happened, honestly. The Fed, as much as I don't like it, was built for this reason(bail out bad business deals in times of uncertainty). They're going to work it out to where none of these companies are going to be able to have a safety net under them anymore again. You screw up, you pay the price.

  3. Conservative nation. And well yeah, technically I would be since this century is fresh out of the oven. When you look at those pictures, it kind of proves the point. When a real Conservative steps up to the plate the voters for him come out in droves. When was the last time before 1980 that New York and California went Republican? And New England? Those are the most Liberal places in the country and they've gone Red before. I think it could be done again, we just haven't seen the ideal candidate yet. If one were to pop up in time then I could see those states going red again.

  4. Under an unmotivated system, sure I'd agree with the article. However, now this being from a Republican standpoint, when the ideal Republican candidate comes in at the right time then states which would be under normal circumstances would go Democrat would vote Republican. In the recent times(which I consider 1973-present)we've only seen it once and it during the Reagan years.

    (Second pic more impressive)

Do I believe that could be reversed so that it could all be blue? Maybe. I believe at the core we're a Conservative nation(sort of proven by the pics)and for a Democrat to be able to count in places where there are little to no Democratic bases(Nebraska)you would still need Conservative views. But I'm talking for the present days. It's possible that in one hundred years we could become the exact opposite but it's hard for me to understand how.

  5. Well I'd say the fact that the market has grown in the past ten years is such a reason it's a huge problem now. Back then, there were issues but the demand wasn't as large. Now the whole thing is much more competitive. But the US alone could power itself from its natural resources for hundreds of years. Between the coal we have, the oil we could get, nuclear energy and whatever else we do - forget it. In any case, the issue is out there and I think it will be settled within the next twenty years.

  6. Well, energy is obviously a huge problem in this country. And I think it's wrong for the politicians(all of them)to blame the wrong people for it. I don't think we as a nation would be half as angry with things if oil were cheaper. Things snowball out of control quickly when the blame game ensues.
