From rap star to CoverGirl beauty, there isn’t much Queen Latifah hasn’t done and come fall 2013, she’ll add talk show host as another notch on her belt. Latifah is teaming up with Will and Jada Smith who will serve as executive producers on the new show, produced by Sony Pictures Television. Approximately ten years ago The Queen Latifah ran for two seasons, but maybe the second time’s the charm. The show will be a collaboration between Flavor Unit (a production company that she co-owns alongside Shakim Comper) and Miguel Melendez’ Overbrook Entertainment. “We’ve had a long and successful history both personally and professionally with Overbrook's Miguel, JL, Jada and Will,” Compere says. “We share a common vision and have been wanting to collaborate for quite some time. The talk show is the perfect project to work on together.” Will and Jada’s involvement in the project seems natural, as Queen Latifah and the Smith’s certainly have a history with each other. By Nadeska Alexis When MTV News caught up with Big Sean backstage at the Powerhouse show in Philadelphia this past weekend, the Detroit rapper revealed that he plans to drop a new mixtape FFOE (Finally Famous Over Everything) within a month and follow that up with his sophomore album at the top of 2012. “I got my new album coming out early next year,” Sean said. “Right after we put the G.O.O.D. Alabama rapper Yelawolf made a memorable contribution to the scene-stealing segment, but since the show aired Catfish Billy’s bars on white rappers have attracted some scrutiny. The line in question— “Plenty of white boys to pick from this year/But before you pick a pepper you better pick up your heater”— didn’t call out any names but Bad Boy signee Machine Gun Kelly has claimed that the line was aimed at him. Now, Yelawolf does have something to say to MGK. During an appearance on 105.1’s morning program The Breakfast Club last week, host Charlemagne pressed MGK about his thoughts on Yelawolf, which caused him to reveal that he felt sideswiped by the verse. Yelawolf was alerted of MGK’s “disapproval” during a recent interview with Bootleg Kev and he cautioned the up-and-comer with some sharp barbs. “He's being sensitive. "In the book, Minerva McGonagall is the one who does it and for me it was very important that she did that." For Rowling, it was important that McGonagall got her moment in the spotlight.
