As one criminal defense lawyer put it, "The prelim is where the lawyer can lock down the victim's story. It's the only time Sandusky's lawyer can probe as to why such a long delay in reporting the crime." Crimes that are not reported for years create inherent problems for prosecutors, not the least of which are fading memories and exaggerations over time. There's also a "me too" dynamic in these cases -- people riding the wave and saying they were also victims. The prelim is where the defense can mine these weaknesses. One of the defense lawyers we spoke with scoffed at Sandusky's statement this morning ... that he will fight for four quarters: "Waiving the preliminary hearing is like laying down on the field for the first half of the game." The lawyer said, "If Sandusky's lawyer is worried about bad publicity, it's not like it could get any worse," adding, "The decision to waive prelim is mind-numbingly stupid." Although he’s excited to check out the Playboy spread, he isn’t exactly gung-ho about how much Lindsay has profited from the photo shoot. 50 questioned the morals behind paying a celeb such a substantial amount of money for nude photos, arguing, "$1 million to pose nude is the same thing strippers do almost every day for way less. If they give you a million dollars, does that change the status of what you've done?” (50 Cent on his new 'Big 10' mixtape) The G-Unit CEO, who has plenty of sexually explicit lyrics in his songs, actually questioned why it’s socially acceptable for a star to be commended for the same acts that average people are often condemned for. He even challenged the notion that the amount of money offered changes the intention of the act. “If I pay a hundred dollars ... is it the same thing as paying a million dollars when you're a movie star or celebrity? The same transaction? Or is it socially different? Does it register different because of how much?" (Drake on his plans for 'Club Paradise' tour) By Jocelyn Vena Wondering when you might catch Drake on his "Club Paradise" tour? Well, wonder no more. Despite a previous delay, Drizzy plans to kick off the show on the most romantic day of the year, February 14, in Miami. The 17-city tour will circle around North America, playing colleges in cities like Austin, New Orleans and San Diego. The Take Care rapper will be joined by Hottest Breakthrough MC contenders Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky. The fellas will take it international and also hit up Europe once the stateside shows end in March. "I fought for this tour, I fought really hard for this tour because, of course, they want me to go get the big bucks, go into the stadiums and cash out," Drake revealed to MTV News in October about the decision to play more intimate shows. "But I was just like, I really made this album for the same people that supported me since day one." "I spent a lot of time out there [in Toronto]; that's what this album is about," Drake recently explained. "That's what I'm gonna showcase.
