  1. Rammstein's new album has been banned from shop shelves in their native Germany because its cover artwork depicts scenes of sadism.

  2. Aerosmith: The Tyler Saga Continues....

Who wants to become the new singer for Aerosmith?

The lead guitarist with one of America's most successful rock groups said that he and his bandmates were "positively looking for a new singer to work with," following a rift with energetic frontman Steven Tyler.

Joe Perry, 59, made the announcement on his Twitter page, ratcheting up an unusually public feud with his songwriting partner of 40 years.

  3. Aerosmith's future still in doubt....

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler joined estranged bandmate Joe Perry on stage in New York in hopes of setting the record straight about the future of the feuding rock group.

Co-writer and guitarist Joe Perry, who said earlier this week that the band was "positively" seeking a new singer, indicated on Wednesday that all was still not well in the band. In an interview with Rolling Stone, he referred to Tyler as an "acquaintance".

Steve Tyler, on the other hand, told celebrity website TMZ.com after Tuesday's appearance that "there is absolutely no validity to the rumour that Aerosmith is breaking up".

Perry told Rolling Stone he was just as surprised as fans when Tyler showed up at the venue, and asked to sing the encore tune.

"Being an acquaintance of 40 years, I said, 'Why not?'" Perry said. " So he came up and sang and that was the last I saw of him."

After 24 years, which have included repeated stints in rehab to battle alcoholism (Ronnie), lines of heroin and cocaine (Ronnie), a replacement plastic septum for his cocaine-ravaged nose (Ronnie), multiple music tours of the world and even a joint arrest for cocaine possession in the Caribbean, one of rock's most enduring marriages ended yesterday at the High Court in London.

Ronnie Wood is actually a very good and very underrated guitarist....in my opinion far classier than his old mate Keef Richards in the Rolling Stones..check out his slide playing in this old Faces cut recorded live in Gay Paree in 1971...a much younger Rod Stewart sounds great as well in this classic...

  5. Rumour control: Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has blasted speculation that he's quit the iconic band.

It's been widely reported that Tyler had thrown his toys out of the pram and left the band to concentrate on a solo career. But during a surprise onstage appearance In New York with guitarist Joe Perry yesterday, Tyler finally put paid to the quit talk.

"I just want New York to know, I am not leaving Aerosmith," he declared during a surprise cameo at bandmate Perry's gig to promote his solo side project.

He added: "And Joe Perry, you are a man of many colours, but I, motherf*****, am a rainbow!" before launching into a booming rendition of the band's signature tune, Walk This Way. Ending the show arm in arm. Ahhhhhh.

  6. iPhones across Australia lit up with the face of '80s crooner Rick Astley this week as a Wollongong TAFE student made international headlines for releasing the first virus to infect the popular smartphone platform.

The virus is able to reset the phone wallpaper to display an image of Astley (a practice known as rickrolling) on unlocked or "jailbroken" iPhones.

  7. Using Windows is like living in a communist bloc nation circa 1981. And don't change it.

I admit it: I'm a bigot. A hopeless bigot at that: I know my particular prejudice is absurd, but I just can't control it. It's Apple. I don't like Apple products. And the better-designed and more ubiquitous they become, the more I dislike them. I blame the customers. Awful people. Awful. Stop showing me your iPhone. Stop stroking your Macbook. Stop telling me to get one.

Seriously, stop it. I don't care if Mac stuff is better. I don't care if Mac stuff is cool. I don't care if every Mac product comes equipped with a magic button on the side that causes it to piddle gold coins and resurrect the dead and make holographic unicorns dance inside your head. I'm not buying one, so shut up and go home. Go back to your house. I know, you've got an iHouse. The walls are brushed aluminum. There's a glowing Apple logo on the roof. And you love it there. You absolute monster.

  8. The economic value of "Fair Use"....

Copyright law involves a delicate balance, and in the U.S. fair use is an important part of that equation. This study suggests that it's also an important part of the U.S. economy.

  9. Suggesting that "Fair Use" can be legally challenged is not the path he should take

i agree mate....he`ll have a job on his hands....google has practically "embedded" the concept of Fair Use on the internet, at least for the purposes of description and/or review....it`s precisely the argument used by Google in their current copyright negotiations with the various associations representing authors around the world...

  10. Upon watching this interview i have come to this conclusion...

Rupert Murdoch is an idiot....an extremely rich idiot...but an idiot none the less...

That may sound just a bit presumptuous of me to call the incredibly wealthy Rupert Murdoch an idiot especially when I am currently a pauper. Nonetheless the man makes a fool of himself everytime he opens his gob and talks about HIS model for making money on the internet with news. He shows he just doesn’t get it....

Here is an interview he did explaining, well….not explaining very well, just how he plans to hide his sites from the omnipotent Google.

Sky News political editor David Speers talks to News Corporation chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch about paywalls, politics, and more.

  11. Synch or sing: Brit's 'fake' defends singer....

THERE'S one only big difference between the world's best Britney Spears impersonator and the real superstar now touring Australia.

Their costumes are the same, their dance routines are the same but only one of them sings live.

When Kimberley Dayle, a professional singer from Britain, launches her Circus tour in Australia on Wednesday, she won't be caught up in a lip-synching controversy like Spears, who launched her Circus tour in Perth on Friday night.
