  1. Dim Sum have been raising roofs and destroying dancefloors since early 2008. In the tradition of their massive boat parties of the past, they've hooked up with the breakbeat elite to present an event which is going to set the Thames on fire! Dim Sum & Menu Music joins forces to host a boat party that will simply tear up the River Thames this summer. Menu Music, owned by Breakbeat legend Jay Cunning and Bass heavy badboy Atomic Hooligan, plan to set sail with a whole host of Menu family, old and new. Come join us for the last blow out before the boys take a hiatus from Menu to venture into new projects. Propping up the Captains table will be Atomic Hooligan & Jay Cunning who will be showcasing all things Menu Music. Joining them will be Ctrl Z and Screwface's speaker smashing alias Stereo:Type, breakbeat veteran DJ Quest and Menu artists SOTO as well as C23Management’s very own Catch23. As always Dim Sum residents Mids, Jaymin Doe and Banksmann will be creating the party atmosphere with their choice tune selections and unbeatable energy in front of and behind the decks. Set yourself to cruise control and say ‘bon voyage’ for a whole evening of bass heavy beats, VIP edits and exclusive unreleased dubplates from Dim Sum and Menu Music. 3. August brings the peak of “Summer” upon us and as we draw to the height of the party season we have compiled an energising and refreshing line-up taking us from House and Tech to Breaks and back. Our feature guest for August, we welcome the very talented Janette Slack gracing the decks and showing off her technical know-how. Other guests this month to make debut for Tailspin are James Monday - one half of the long running east-end Saturday night imprint of ‘FREITAG’, Leigh Brooks -who co run’s ‘Spunky Cheeba's’ Twisted Beach Parties on the banks of the Thames will bring us his flavour of Sunday afternoon Twisted lounge House and finally veteran audiologist Stakker. Support will come from residents Seany T, Banksmann, Langers & Salon Kitty. Janette Slack has established herself as one of the hottest artists around. Originally from Hong Kong, now based in London, her sound is rooted in electro, house and breaks which she delivers with an infectious energy. This has lead to residencies at Air and Torture Garden as well as regular appearances at Global Gathering and The Cross, alongside numerous tours in places such as Australia, Russia and China. Janette sees production and DJing as inseparable and alongside her busy DJ schedule she is also working towards completing her debut artist album. Her latest offering ‘Take It / Around the Block’ for Ali B’s Air Recordings has hit the shelves and with her previous productions having caught the attention of DJs such as Deekline, Stanton Warriors and Jay Cunning this is one young lass to watch out for. James Monday started out djing at small clubs in Ireland in 1998. Moving to London in 2000 began playing many clubs and bars over London. He successfully hosted after parties in Shoreditch from 2003 - 2005 along with playing abroad in Italy, Spain and was also lucky enough to play the highly popular "Sound Waves" party in Portugal. James is one half of the brainchild behind the popular Saturday night FREITAG which was born in January 2007 and since then has gone from strength to strength. The sound of FREITAG: Concentrates on "new electronic music, underground House and Minimal, deep encapsulating sounds". We will look forward to seeing you down at the Horse & Groom to bring your weekend to a close on a high note! 5. The Essentials:- Event: Dim Sum presents Tailspin Date: July 19th 2009 Time: 1700 – 2400 Venue: The Horse & Groom Address: 28 Curtain Rd Shoreditch EC2A 3NZ Door Tax: Free All Day Well the summer of 09 is now in full swing and down at Dim Sum HQ we have been busy putting the finishing touches on the line-ups for our ongoing Tailspin events @ the Horse and Groom. This month we are pleased to announce our feature artist’s are Kid Blue from LOT49 and Micah Black one of Australia’s rising stars, with support from regular playaz the Caninesounds, Banksmann, Jaymin Doe, Mids and Langers. DJ, producer and club promoter… it’s not a combination that many can pull off with ease, but Kid Blue has done just that and been at the cutting edge of the UK club scene for nearly eight years. He first came to attention as promoter and resident DJ at the legendary Technique night in Leeds, which spearheaded a new, open-minded approach to dance music, mixing genres and DJs together in a way few had before. Kid Blue soon moved to London Town where he secured a residency with ‘Chew the Fat!’ @ the legendary ‘End’ nightclub where he rocked the main room every month until the last ever ‘Fat!’ party at the venue. This proved to be a good time to move on and July 09 started Dimebox promotions company and together with LOT49 lable owners Meat Katie and Dylan Rhymes, the LOT49 parties @ East Village kicked off. The first events have been road-blocks – ‘without doubt one of the best new additions to London clubbing’ (Spoonfed). Producing since 2006 Kid Blue has had a string of successful releases with support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, James Zabiela, Pete Tong, Annie Nightingale and many more DJs from across the dance music spectrum. Watch out for his latest offering ‘Speak Freak’ EP out soon on LOT49 Also joining us all the way from Australia is our good friend Micah Black. Micah has earned himself the reputation of one of Perth's leading DJs, through his ability to get even the coldest of feet on the dance floor, his energy and enthusiasm behind the decks and through the burgeoning scene which has grown with him over the last decade. The last 3 years have seen Micah play across Australia and New Zealand and land in the UK playing at Fabric Nightclub @ The Plump DJs Headthrash night in Aug 08, Timbuk 2 in Bristol, Dim Sum, The White House, Platform 12 at Canvas Nightclub London and at the legendary Supercharged night in Brighton. Food and Musical ;) Guests - 2008 has proven to be a landmark year for Sam Caterer and Andy Isbister, "caninesounds". As well as cementing their reputation as some of the finest DJs in the country, they have taken their highly-respected Spinout Sessions radio show to the upper echelons of specialist dance music shows and exploded on to the production scene! Having signed to Spinout Records at the end of 2007, Caninesounds have already remixed the likes of Luetzenkirchen, Si McEvoy, Baobinga & ID and Lissan & Stills, and have their debut single, Bounce, scheduled for release on Spinout in the summer. On the airwaves their weekly Spinout Sessions show on Passion Radio gathers more plaudits with each passing week. Armed with little more than a record bag, his chefs hat and a head full of ideas Kerry Wallace arrived in London 4 years ago with the simple aim of throwing some parties and honing his skills as a Dj. From humble beginnings at the Chapel bar in Islington 'Pulp Sessions' in it's first incarnation was born. The parties soon gained momentum and the Pulp Sessions brigade presently hold residencies at two key landmarks on London's underground; The Egg club and the now legendary basement at Retox. With a signature style of 'deep n bouncy' stripped-down house Wallace's Dj'ing has evolved as fiercely as Pulp Sessions itself. with Wallace intending to head back to Ibiza to focus on production not to mention a spot of global domination. So, look out for Pulp Sessions events in Australia, Dubai and Barcelona in 2009... The Dim Sum Crew famous for their rocking 'House party' style have a range of things instore for those who make it down including CD giveaways, free tickets for their upcoming events and Starting off with a raffle being run to raise money in aid of our friend John's Charity bash Rally from here to Mongolia to help Mercy Corps.
