  5. The Gallery Friday 7th November Box Green Velvet Tall Paul Fergie Pedro Del Gardo BDK Bar - Hosted by RPM Micky Slim RPM DJs Alex hero Blend DJs Farserelli Baby Box - Hosted by Soul Soloutions Alek West Steve Bentley Ben Carton Rich C Jeuce Ses Memhi Lounge - Hosted by Plastic Fondu Sam Read Paul TJ Dan Goss Wayne Ritchie Charli Dj G1 November is kick-started at The Gallery with another trademark fusion of sonic excellence courtesy of some of the world’s finest DJs and producers. No strangers to bringing together a whole range of dance music’s finest to create a club night unrivalled in terms of progression, quality and cutting edge music; this Friday 7th November at Ministry of Sound, The Gallery turns its hand to yet another example of just that, with an too rare set from the legendary Green Velvet at the top of the stack. The ‘La La Land’ hero is one of techno’s original and best purveyors. That track is still synonymous with the former green-haired DJ/producer and the Chicago star remains one of the influential players on the scene all these years later. The Gallery has always admired GV’s rapport with the crowd and his breath-taking skills behind the decks, and would you believe that this week’s set will be his debut performance at Gallery HQ, making the night an even greater spectacle. And with the power of the Box’s illustrious soundsystem, whatever you do... you don’t wanna miss that!! Gallery main man Tall Paul is of course an ever present figure at the Ministry of Sound and after smashing the main room on a rare outing from his normal home in the Bar we felt it only prudent to get him back to do it again. A hard one to pigeon hole musically, Tall Paul is one of the best main room DJs - time after time blending a real mixed bag of upfront, utterly danceable tunage to a huge effect. Tonight also marks the return to the Gallery fold of one of Turnmills and The Gallery’s favourite sons, Fergie. From his early days at the legendary after-hours Trade to his recent Excentric parties at The Gallery; Fergie is a man on a mission. With a techno infused sound that is making waves across the scene and his own label and parties we are delighted to welcome him back and to showcase a true talent. Never to be doubted as a DJ par excellence we implore you to check out some of his recent tunage such as ‘Ireland’ and ‘Anon’ and we think you will agree the Box at Ministry is in for a real treat from Ireland’s best. To complete the techno tip we welcome techno powerhouse and critically acclaimed DJ/producer Pedro Delgardo. A real favourite with the world’s biggest and best jocks (you only have to see Carl Cox’s SW4 preview video for proof!), Pedro runs the world renowned Ying Yang Recordings and is a regular across the globe with his Ableton DJ sets causing havoc on the biggest and best dancefloors. Having played earlier this year at Sander van Doorn’s album launch and with a regular radio show on Paul van Dyk’s VONYC platform Pedro is becoming an ever popular figure and is charged with bringing the night home in his enviable style! The Bar is hosted by RPM who continue their recent run of good form and big events by bagging man of the moment and headliner Micky Slim. Having enjoyed another massive summer, resident in Ibiza for Judgement Sunday and dates at pretty much everywhere there is to be; Micky is a true entertainer and crowd pleasing DJ. With a bevy of massive tracks, remixes and re-edits always to hand he will be leading another mad session in the bar so expect the usual behaviour. Joining him will be residents RPM DJs, Alex Hero, Blend DJs and Farserelli. The Baby Box meanwhile welcomes Soul Solutions with DJ appearances from Alek West, Steve Bentley, Ben Carton, Rich C, Jeuce and Ses Memhi. Whilst the Lounge gets busy to the now well established and always mad Plastic Fondu with DJs Sam Read, Paul TJ, Dan Goss, Wayne Ritchie, Charli DJ and G1. (Thank Funk, Sub Red) Lloyd (Audioimage) Facebook Dj Comp Winner As we continue at breakneck speed through October The Gallery is proud to present yet another massive album launch alongside its usual formula of the biggest and best djs both established stars and future talent in our amazing home at the Ministry of Sound. This week its all about the seminal Global Underground label and its brand new mix compilation ‘Nick Warren - Global Underground: 035 – Lima’ which gets its UK launch with fellow Gallery superstars Hernan Cattaneo and Seb Fontaine joining Nick Warren for one very special Box lineup guaranteed to do some serious damage. Hernan Cattaneo continues his monthly love affair with The Gallery by headlining proceedings. His monthly sets in the Box are fast becoming some of the most popular and most talked about Gallery’s of the year and it comes as no surprise to us here at Gallery HQ. Long term fans of Mr Cattaneo, a purveyor of some of the best, most cutting edge sounds around he remains one of the most grounded and genuinely passionate people in dance music winning him legions of fans worldwide and we are very proud to have him as resident here at The Gallery. Global Underground continue their worldwide DJ series with the latest mix to come from label mainstay Nick Warren. Following on from last year´s Paris album, Nick returns to Global Underground with ´GU035: Lima´, with a totally exclusive track list that includes tracks and remixes from Paul Rogers, Michael Burns, Alex Dolby, Perc, and the much accoladed Robert Babicz remix of recent Way Out West single ´Spaceman´. A stalwart of the Global Underground DJ contingent, Nick Warren returns to the series following the huge success of his Paris CD in 2007. He has sold over 110,000 GU compilations in the UK alone over his 11 year history with the label and remains a hugely popular figure both worldwide and at his London home of The Gallery. Peruvian capital Lima is the base for his latest instalment, and for the first time Nick has compiled an entirely exclusive track list to capture the sound and ambience of this historic former Incan city. He has sourced tracks far and wide, making this a truly unique mix, and one that showcases his ability as curator and DJ par excellence which will be on show tonight as he plays a very special launch set in the amazing main room of the Ministry of Sound. Going Places has reached the grand old age of five and it only seems like yesterday when we held our first party in T2 at The Gallery and were promptly offered a monthly residency by Danny Newman just a few hours into the first event! Since then Going Places has criss-crossed the globe pursuing the freshest international talent each month and offering them a platform to break into the rigid London scene having provided Tony Senghore, Tiger Stripes and Muzzaik with their UK debuts among others. For this their celebrations of the birthday variety the Going Places massive are returning to their spiritual home, The Gallery; providing a special ‘Going Places Heroes’ line-up of UK & international guests in the shape of Holland’s 16 Bit Lolitas and the UK’s very own Jody Wisternoff from Way Out West. Joining the jet setters lineup is Going Places very own leading lady Tania von Pear alongside rising talents Ilana Belsky and Rick Maia. Meanwhile the Baby Box sees Stereo Tek lead the charge whilst Glory Hole do their thing in the Lounge. Not half! This Friday 17th October The Gallery pairs up with London club kings HeatUK to help celebrate the roaming promoters 7th Birthday in fine style. Formed in 2001 by South West Four promoters Damian Gelle and Antony Marmot, the first ever Heat event infamously took place in their backyard, before going on to change the face of the harder-tinged club nights in the capital forever. Afternoons were never the same again as Heat’s daytime parties were nothing short of legendary! It wasn’t long before Turnmills came knocking and Heat’s daytime raves became notorious across the capital. A monthly night time slot followed at the Farringdon club, before Heat moved around town, selling out many shows at Camden Palace, The Cross, Pacha and KOKO... as well as incredibly selling out Brixton Academy (4,500 capacity) for five New Year’s Eves in a row!!! Amazing stuff. Joining a typical massive Gallery affair will be the cream of Heat talent both in the Box and also with the Ibizan Heat Allstars taking over the Bar. To lead the celebrations with his usual vigour and par excellence will be Gallery resident and this year’s massive trance sensation Markus Schulz. Ever since launching his residency at The Gallery in May this year Markus has been globetrotting with appearances at the world’s leading events; further cementing his reputation as the next big thing. He was a very welcome guest at our huge Gallery arena at this year’s sell out SW4 festival as well as huge appearances at the likes of Armada at Amnesia in Ibiza alongside World Number 1 Armin van Buuren including several back to back appearances. A US DJ with a difference, Markus’s appeal stretches worldwide whether it be his Global DJ Broadcast radio show that has become one of the most listened to and widely respected, or his impressive and ever consistent Cold Harbour Recordings label which has been responsible for a plethora of dance floor destroyers... Markus has emerged as a popular DJ and musically has toughened his sets slightly of late, leading to mayhem on dancefloors wherever he’s been. Joining him will be Marcel Woods who continues to be an anthem producing machine. Defining the recent tech trance explosion recent tracks have included ‘On Fire’ and ‘New Feeling’ as well previous bigguns such as ‘Advanced’ and ‘Cherry Blossom’ Sure to bring some big lead lines and massive drops to the proceedings Marcel has been a busy man over the Summer months including many appearances on the White Isle at Judgment Sunday as well as some of the biggest festivals around. Super 8 & DJ Tab get in on the action having become regular and well loved faces here at The Gallery rocking main rooms whether it be alongside fellow label co-horts at Anjunabeats nights or alongside other world class lineups. Regular producers of massive tracks including the recent ‘Suru’ they will provide a perfect hands in the air showcase to take it up a notch. The Box is rounded off by Heat new boy Matt von Holtz on the warm up whilst trance ressie Ian Betts rounds it off in his usual style. The Bar meanwhile welcomes the Ibizan Heat Allstars with a bevy of usual suspects and DJs from down the years getting into the party spirit. The ringleader on such an occasion is the ever welcome Steve Mac. A regular face at The Gallery down the years Steve is a production machine having penned many of the biggest tunes down the years and collaborating with a bevy of superstars including a very rare production outing from Pete Tong. This Summer Steve has been responsible for one of the biggies in the shape of ‘Paddys Revenge’ – a UK Top 20 hit no less!! Irish tradition meets big room house music to devastating effect there is no way in hell you have not heard this anthem out and about and we are delighted to have Steve making his first Gallery outing in the Bar since our move to the Ministry of Sound. Ibizan Heat delivers the largest single group to visit the beautiful Mediterranean isle of Ibiza all summer long and has done for the last six years! Try going on holiday with 600 like-minded clubbers… this will be one helluva reunion! Rounding off this large affair are the Friendz crew who take over the Baby Box after another one of their legendary sold out boat parties – plus the FAQ gang groove on in the Lounge with those North London hedonists from DFS. Fellow label producers Jaytech and Daniel Kandi from the Anjunabeats stable of talent this is set to be one of those do not miss Gallery’s especially after the guys last appearance complete with Clive Rudloe and his dj booth invasion! Above & Beyond began 2008 playing to 1 million people on New Year’s Eve in Rio (thought to be the largest live DJ gig ever) - an auspicious start and another milestone in their fast-rising journey to becoming “one of Britain’s biggest dance outfits” (The Sun). ‘Anjunabeats Volume 6’ is the next instalment in their highly successful label compilation series and features the pick of the label’s artists across Anjunabeats and housier offshoot Anjunadeep. Including numerous exclusives, as well as their own productions and remixes, Above & Beyond’s mix illustrates once again why both labels are magnets for electronic dance music connoisseurs. However, statistics tell only a fraction of the story. Their rise to global attention is seen through the eyes of tens of thousands of music fans worldwide each weekend. Now captured on their Youtube channel, Tony, Paavo, and Jono’s exploits have taken them to all four corners of the earth. Highpoints in recent months include selling-out London’s Ministry Of Sound, a monumental show in Beirut, a trail-blazing visit to Bolivia, and a bus tour across the USA, including a career-defining performance at the Coachella festival. CD1 of ‘Anjunabeats Volume 6’ showcases the Anjunadeep sound, the deeper, atmospheric-end of the Anjuna spectrum that’s attracted champions such as Sasha, James Zabiela, and Desyn Masiello. CD2 features the classy melodic trance sound that Anjunabeats is best known for. Joining the trio will be fellow label producers and djs; Jaytech and Daniel Kandi.
