Hailing from the tech-house heartland that is Southampton, Alan stands shoulder to shoulder with fellow local boys James Zabiela, Dave Robertson, James Talk and Tom Budden as one of the producers at the vanguard of UK underground house and techno. 8 Sided Dice debut 9 Hours Later and Papercut has become a firm favourite for Dubfire, Nic Fanciulli, Fergie and D.Ramirez while Pete Tong and John Digweed both gave 9 Hours Later their personal stamp of approval; featuring the track on their Essential Selection and Transition shows. A 4/5 review in IDJ followed as did tremendous commercial success with the record peaking at number 4 on Beatport’s Techno chart and remaining in the Top 10 for four weeks. Fresh off the back of 8 Sided Dice’s impressive debut comes two more highly charged techno bombs. Beshektas works its menace around a relentless groove topped with a distinctive nagging bass lick and tripped out hypnotic melodies that dance over the iron-hard robotic funk.
