Master h (soma records) Loving Daniel Kyo and Aqua Bassino mixes, another great PUAD release ! Nacho Marco (Loudeast, Om, Freerange, Pacha) The Groovers sound is the result of a lot of late nights , forged and crafted with utter devotion to creating a unique sound. All our influences were bought into the studio and from the tension between a love and knowledge of various musical styles and modes, of temperament and personality we found that it clicked. The result of this collaboration between Finn Campbell-Notman and Steve Ferrand is ten track collection of songs from slow to mid to house tempos. Each time we worked on a track or song we asked ourselves ‘is this a Groovers track’ and the only criteria in deciding if it was was ‘does it feel like one or not’ This feel that we were searching for is: that bittersweet, syncopated and soulful one that we both love regardless of genre. Our influences range from deep deep dancefloor house, early downtempo, latin soul, boogie, southern funk, and shimmering techno. The choice of re-mixers on our first release from the LP is a collection of people who are both exceptional producers, people who we have worked with previously and indeed very close friends. Sunshine Jones also records as Dubtribe Soundsystem, on imperial dub and latterly Treehousemusique. His unique soulful take on all things house is legendary. Aqua Bassino is one of the finest producers of his generation from heartbreaking melodic suites to spiritual uplifting house. Daniel Kyo has become one of the main artists in the nowadays deep house scene

  3. - SOUL MINORITY - I REMEMBER HOUSE EP - Pack Up And Dance (PUAD008) After the successful Mozambique EP and various remixes on Pack Up And Dance in 2008, Soul Minority returns for some tribute and lavish music simplicity. Pack Up And Dance presents Soul Minority - I REMEMBER HOUSE EP - (PUAD008) I Remember House "I Remember House when it was just one House" - a memorial to the brilliant simplicity of House Music. Leave Home An excellent chuggy deep houser! Great drum programming & lovely, lush chords fused together with those perky vox stabs make this one more than perfect for a 4am dancefloor affair. Come back for more The skippy, upbeat drum programming with the keys arrangement is a perfect combination for thirsty dancefloors. https://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/content.../IRememberHouse "3 superb tracks realy loooOOOve this a lot" Laurent Garnier "This EP is pure class and wholly satisfying. 4. Hosting both Freerange's monthly radio show and AKA residencies, Mr Masters has been nurturing his presence in the scene since 2004. Production wise, his work has been released as remixes on Pacha Records, Berwick Street and Elevation, without forgetting his EP on Urban Torque "Walk the Walk". Milton Jackson has become a firm representative of the deep house soldiers - his productions have been featured on all sorts of profound labels such as UrbanTorque, Freerange and Tronicsole. 1.'Deep Or What': Edgy and freakishly funky, Matt Masters reveals beeps and blops catching instant attention. Spread like a perfect enjoyable nuisance - this cut has a flagrant capturing groove. 2.'Deep or What' (Milton Jackson Remix): Milton instantly garners the original with his all famous trademark. Highs and lows with keys of lush presence flings the remix into a dive of the deepest deep. Reactions: Duncan King:that Milton Jackson mix is dope! Pure quality deep house - full support! 5. Pack Up & Dance presents SOUL MINORITY debut EP Laurent Garnier“Absolutely brilliant, deep and lovely. Full support from me. Super funky house grooves in there, u can be sure that I will play the hell out of them.We need more music like this “ SOUL MINORITY - ‘A Soul Thing Ep’ . After the success of the ‘Cosmic Force’ remix for Andy Cato (Pack Up And Dance Recordings), Soul Minority shows no sign of losing stride with this release. DJ MAG My pick of the three-track EP is ‘Soul Thing’ - simply, deep house done right. The arrangement is subtle and soulful without being overwhelming, and great drums, chords and silky bassline grab your attention right away. The instantly recognizable sample from Eddie Amador doesn’t take away from the deep house goodness; it’s actually a pleasant surprise. The cut has a vibe like all those Guidance records we know and love. Highly recommended. 5 stars AVAILABLE NOW ON:Beatport PUAD MySpace
  6. PACK UP AND DANCE PRESENTS: BAND OF FLYS "BLACK THIGHS" 1. Black Thighs (original) After many years attending DiY parties Paul Wong and Andy Elston put together this modern slice of click trax meets bumpin house groove. Originally on DiY Discs label. Now seeing the light of day on , expect a tightly produced male vocal led excursion from tight house beats to melodius electronica. Paul's tight production nails down a sweet selection of modern synth vibes over a raunchy backbeat. Set to light floors both modern and traditional. 2. Black Thighs (Digs & Claude Foncept Blood Sugar Mix) DiY's Digs, after many years working with partner Woosh, producing the seminal Rumpfunk. He teams up with up n coming frenchman Claude Foncept for this sizzling groover. After previous remix duties on Pack Up & Dance 002. Here the pair develop their sound to take on a wild pitch esque vibe, working the electronic melodies of the original. Rolling them on and on and on, Keeping the househeads on board and the flourescent brigade in turn. This is a guaranteed suck them in and spit them out floor filler. Road tested on the uk and and european dance floors by JourneyMan Dj and Digs himself. This a relentless modern groove. 3. Journeyman Dj's Bondi Mix of Band Of Flys-Black Thighs "The Journey Man is back.” On the road since 'Shelleys' raised arms on the dancefloors around the world, he's returned with a remix that began life one weekend in the basements of the moscow underground" 4.
