SUNRAY MUSIC FESTIVAL Athens, GA – June 22nd, 2004 – The first annual Sun Ray Music Festival -- 3 days of music and camping will be held the weekend of August 27th-29th in Carlton, Georgia – 20 miles outside of Athens.Check out SunrayMusicFestival.com The festival line-up includes: The Radiators, Robert Walter’s 20th Congress, Cee-Lo Green, George Porter Jr. of The Funky Meters, Moonshine Still, Barbara Cue (featuring Todd Nance of Widespread Panic), The Grease Factor, Bernie Worrell and the Woo Warriors, Day By The River, Perpetual Groove, Skydog featuring Dr. Dan, Larry Keel Experience, Randall Bramblett, and Acoustic Syndicate. There will also be a Saturday morning drum clinic with Dr. Arvin Scott. More bands and activities to be announced. The Sun Ray Music Festival will be host to Villageville – the festival’s metropolis of food, merchandise and weekend long fun. Villageville will include: a Dance Hall – which will be home to local & national hip hop and DJ acts who will perform late into the evening; an Auditorium – where local & regional bands will showcase their music; a Cinema – stop by and can catch a movie or satellite programming; an Arcade for the video game lover and a Dining Hall, where festival-goers can relax and cool off and grab a bite to eat. A ferris wheel, a laser tag arena, and a wine tent will be the highlights of Villageville. Adult festival tickets will start at $65 for the three days. Children under 12 are free. One day tickets will be available – prices TBD. Camping is included in the 3 day ticket price. Check the website for a complete list of festival rules and regulations.
