  1. I donate to bands that I like and bands that are independent. I also go to concerts

So do i. But i guess its good for these not-so-big bands playing at music festival events for those event-goers rather than actual fans, that way they actually get heard and are publicised. Gyroscope deserve more publicity cause i actually do reckon they rock and produce good music. Agree?

  2. It's well produced. Not my kind of thing, but they have a lot of energy.

Well i guess, being signed to a major label gives you such luxuries in being able to produce perfect sounding albums.

Its pretty awesome that they have such stage prescence and they dont suck live like the other popular bands...mainly pointing at FOB and panic (Gez they really suck live). I really enjoy this energy and form the mosh pit they had in the crowd, im pretty sure alot of people enjoyed it too.

Which of the songs do you think its their signature sound?

  3. Bad news : they're going hiatus

GOod news: Serj's new single rocks! i heard it on the radio the other day and the tune is catchy, very catchy. it reminds me of the earlier SOAD songs..but this time only from Serj, his version. I think its refreshing the bad, giving a better image. albums after hypnotize was a bit dusty...you guys digging the new single?

find this neat little site where you can watch the single...its pretty damn clever too! www.fasterlouder.com.au/serjtankian

I have a kool LP screensaver now got it of the M2M site through the link LP blog But i still need to work on the ciphers,

  5. I actually enjoy a good bit of Green Day's stuff. the title cut from American Idiot is a pretty good song.

I'm not trying to start any kind of argument, but I always find it a bit disquieting when people scoff at Green Day's supposed lack of 'punkness'.

Just because they don't fit neatly into the 'punk' category, people dump on them. Since when does a band have to fit into someone's ideal of what they think the band should be?

Why would I dislike someone's music because it isn't punk enough, or rap enough, or country enough, or whatever? That's limiting what I can listen to, and I certainly did enough of that in my youth.

Not anymore. If it's pleasing to my ear, I'm going to listen to it, regardless.

Green Day is Green Day. I take them for what they are, and I enjoy their music.

not if they jump onto some bandwagon to be more commercial
