  1. Hey, what about Jeff Beck?

"Beck proved that a guitar could replace vocals, and project just as much expression, soul, feeling and depth to carry an album." :D

  2. Sure Presidents should get breaks. But if you recall, during Bush's first term in office he was on a month long stay at the ranch when 911 took place. Im sure it wasnt all relaxation, but at the time, I thought it was kind of slackish, before all the hell broke loose.

Wasn't he reading to preschoolers at the time the planes hit the towers? I think he stayed there too when he was told about it. Not only is that slacking...why would he stay in a room with children when all hell's breaking loose? The man's a moron in my book.

  3. Feel Like a Number, Her Strut. :headbang:

I always liked You'll Accompany Me. (Me and my girlfriends hanging out in Winthrop Park singing Oooooo you'll accompany Meeee at the top of our lungs...Ooooo...YEAH.. :D )

CAN'T FORGET: TIL IT SHINES... ;)

  4. eye for an eye.... tooth for a tooth...

harsh justice is required to deter things like this happening in the first place.

I have a problem with our penial system...I don't like the fact that our tax dollars support these bums in jail. I feel if someone kills and is found guilty, they should be exterminated.

  5. Don't Let Time (Steal Away Your Dreams)..

    by P. Sheehan

    Chasing low budget thrills

Paying the bills and I’m playing every card on the table

    Learning hard lessons twice

Rolling the dice...feeling ready, willing and able

All the time I’ve wasted just a fool that counts away each day

See your chance, then take it

Don’t let time steal away your dreams

Don’t let time steal away your dreams

    Don’t let time....

    Well mistakes like old friends

Seem to find me again and I welcome them with my open arms

Cause when it’s all said and done, I’m just having my fun

Caught my hand in the cookie jar

All the time I’ve wasted just a fool that counts away each day

See you chance, then take it

Don’t let time steal away your dreams

Don’t let time steal away your dreams

    Don’t let time....

There ain’t no reason or rhyme at the scene of the crime

Don’t work so hard to find my point of view

Cause when that fat lady sings and my funeral bell rings

I wanna say hell that’s the best I could do!

All the time I’ve wasted just a fool that counts away each day

See you chance, then take it

Don’t let time steal away your dreams

Don’t let time steal away your dreams

    Don’t let time...©

  6. Jackson Browne is one of my all time favorite songwriters...

Last one I picked up by him was the "I'm Alive" album. <_ hmmmm have to listen the pretender again.>

    SKY BLUE AND BLACK

In the calling out to one another

Of the lovers up and down the strand

In the sound of the waves and the cries

Of the seagulls circling the sand

In the fragments of the songs

Carried down the wind from some radio

In the murmuring of the city in the distance

    Ominous and low

I hear the sound of the world where we played

And the far too simple beauty

    Of the promises we made

    If you ever need holding

Call my name, I'll be there

    If you ever need holding

And no holding back, I'll see you through

    Sky blue and black

Where the touch of the lover ends

And the soul of the friend begins

There's a need to be separate and a need to be one

    And a struggle neither wins

Where you gave me the world I was in

And a place I could make a stand

I could never see how you doubted me

When I'd let go of your hand

Yeah, and I was much younger then

And I must have thought that I would know

If things were going to end

    And the heavens were rolling

Like a wheel on a track

    And our sky was unfolding

    And it'll never fold back

    Sky blue and black

And I'd have fought the world for you

If I thought that you wanted me to

Or put aside what was true or untrue

If I'd known that's what you needed

What you needed me to do

But the moment has passed by me now

To have put away my pride

And just come through for you somehow

    If you ever need holding

Call my name, I'll be there

    If you ever need holding

And no holding back, I'll see you through

You're the color of the sky

Reflected in each store-front window pane

You're the whispering and the sighing

Of my tires in the rain

You're the hidden cost and the thing that's lost

    In everything I do

Yeah and I'll never stop looking for you

In the sunlight and the shadows

And the faces on the avenue

    That's the way love is

    That's the way love is

    That's the way love is

    Sky blue and black

  10. Meanwhile Warren Haynes' solo acoustic album, LIVE AT BONNAROO (ATO Records),

which documents the entire 16-song set Haynes performed at the 2003 Bonnaroo

music festival, will be released June 8, 2004. The release features Mule

favorites "Beautifully Broken" and "Fallen Down" and some exciting covers,

like the glorious version of Radiohead's "Lucky" and a redefining interpretatio

    n of U2's "One."

Just picked it up yesterday...great songs...and I agree great musician.

I see you like Zappa... :D

A person got evicted from his apartment in my neighborhood. Don't know who he is or what he looks like...shit ... he could be a she...anyway... and they were MIA for a few months. I was walking by and the "evictors" were throwing shit out from his apartment. In a box were old photos/projection slides, notes, casettes.. I have a cassette of a Dylan concert...or just gathering (sounds like he's in a dressing room or something) talking to people..PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY TALKING AS HE'S PLAYING...

Anyway, I'm going to go through the stuff and see what I can post here..

Kiwi: I definitely have old Zappa pics...I'll scan on for you...you'll get a kick out of it. Any Jorma fans out there?

  11. I caught the Warren Haynes concert at Townhall here in Manhattan last week...WHAT A SHOW! I found myself searching the web for tours dates on Gov't Mule/Allmans and Haynes...I can't wait to see him perform again. :strumma:
