  1. i'm so lonesome i could cry ... hank williams

    Hear that lonesome whippoorwill

He sounds too blue to fly

The midnight train is whining low

I’m so lonesome I could cry

I’ve never seen a night so long

    When time goes crawling by

The moon just went behind a cloud

To hide it’s face and cry

Did you ever see a robin weep

    When leaves begin to die

That means he’s lost the will to live

I’m so lonesome I could cry

The silence of a falling star

    Lights up a purple sky

And as I wonder where you are

I’m so lonesome I could cry

  2. I wonder now if we will EVER have peace on this planet!

No. It's the way humans are. In fact, it's the way all animals are but we have "better" weapons

:( ... beyond words to describe ... the murders described are lower than what animals would do ... animals don't kill, torture for the sheer fun or selfishness of killing and maiming ... when an animal kills, it is for a reason, but not so with humans ... really so such a sad state of human affairs ... man, able to reason, lower than unreasoning animals ...

  3. hoping the links will work like this ... for whomever wants them ... if anyone ...

  5. .... A Painted House .... to me it was just plain boring.

... well, if you knew me, a real scaredy-cat, baby, baby who cries, sobs at everything, sad, scarey, happy, and everything else in-between ... hehe ... that's 'bout all me can handle ...:blink:

but at the moment, i am reading steven king, skeleton crew (a collection of short stories) ... :o and spending more time with my hands over my eyes!!! ... j/k ... ... quite different than "a painted house" ...

  6. Grisham has some good stuff. Did you enjoy the end Reg?

    :o

i'm so sorry, Malicious Intent ... me totally missed your response / question!!! ...

i do kinda wish a few more loose ends could have been tied up in the ending of the story, but i guess that's what my imagination is for, right?? :P ... on the whole, though, i really did like the whole book ... thanks for asking!! : )

after i finished with "a painted house," which is not your typical legal-type grisham novel, i read another of his books called "bleachers" ... which i also liked, although not as much ...

  7. ... those photos were beautiful ...

the thread, aerial photography, brought to mind this address lookup site ... the photos certainly not artistic in nature, but ... you can type in an address, like your own address (in the states), and it shows you an aerial of the address ... hopefully this link will work ... i entered the address for fenway park in boston, just as an example ...

  8. they call the wind mariah ... sung by the kingston trio ...

(i have a relative named Moriah ... and everytime an older one would hear her name (even though spelled a little differently), they would say ... Moriah? "they call the wind mariah!" ... so i thought i'd find it and send it to her ... so she could hear the song that they all kept referring to ... and me listening to it now!!)

    : )
