Jonas Pettersson, aka Tranan, has been passionate about music since the piano playing days of his youth. He discovered the psy-trance scene in 1993 with friend Dennis Tapper, who later became his partner in the Hux Flux project. Jonas was motivated by the desire to create music exactly as he wanted to hear it, music that did not yet exist. Hux Flux gigs took him around the world, until he began Logic Bomb in 1998 with Johan Krafft, and later Jonaz Bergvall. To date, he has toured every continent aside from Antarctica, including highlights like Solstice Music Festival in Japan 2002, Boom Festival 2000, and Samothraki 2002 and 2003.

Unfortunately, Orb Festival will be on hiatus for 2010.
Although we have been at work preparing for the gathering over the last months, some unexpected events have brought us to the decision to take a break this year. Not to worry our faithful followers though...plans for a 2011 Orb Festival are in full swing!
Festival goers can expect a larger scale, MUCH crispier production beginning in 2011, and continuing bi-annually thereafter.
The Orb Festival Team is confidant that this change will result in the best possible experience for everyone, and provide ample preparation time for the ambitious festival visions we have in mind.

It seems like just the blink of an eye since we closed the book on Orb Festival 2009, yet a new year has already arrived. We are happy to announce the 4th annual outdoor gathering of Orb Festival, taking place Thursday, June 10th through Sunday, June 13th 2010 at Ramblewood Rustic Resort in Darlington, Maryland!
This year we are planning a landmark edition of Orb Festival featuring the choicest electronic artists from around the globe in conjunction with remarkable installations and stage designs on a massive scale. Orb 2010 will host three stages of music including full psy, top underground minimal techno, and world music. As usual, festival-goers can enjoy the beautiful Orb flea market, camping sites, tribal drum circles, yoga classes, meditation, workshops, kids area, swimming, the Orb festival fire, and food court (including vegetarian and vegan cuisine).
The 2010 location, Ramblewood Rustic Resort, is conveniently located less than an hour from Baltimore’s international airport, just over an hour from Philladelphia, and only three hours from NYC - tucked away in seclusion a half mile from the nearest roads. This ideal location offers a wealth of well-maintained facilities for the enjoyment of our guests. Ramblewood also has multiple indoor and outdoor sports facilities such as the Olympic-sized swimming pool and diving Pool. Choose accommodations in the newly renovated cabins, or set up camp under the skies of the extensive Ramblewood property… a serene and inspiring experience

Skoocha is one of the many aliases of French/Spanish Musician & Producer Benoit Munoz. Inspired by the trance sounds of the first Dragonfly compilation, which he encountered in Amsterdam back in 1995, Skoocha has devoted himself to a life of sonic creativity. Both with years of experience as DJs in their own right, this electric team has everything it takes to impress. Orbit’s sonic sorcery induces the imagination with wonder, magic, and mystery, evoking a collective journey on waves of vibration. Hux-Flux was born in 1998 with solo releases by Dennis Tapper, including the hit "Time Slices". Subsequently, Dennis began work with Jonas Petterson (AKA Tranan), and they produced the legendary album Cryptic Crunch together. He relocated to Stockholm, continuing collaborative work with his old friend Henric Fietz. Their partnership resulted in some killer classics, such as "Idiot", "Bring your own BIOS", and the album Division by Zero.
Dennis has released multiple solo tracks since, and his recent partnered projects include "Tryptamind", together with Ibojima. Currently, he is involved in the completely new and fresh chillout/dub/ambient project "Illuminus", together with Magnus Holte. Mubali is Greg Farley, from Monterey, California. He has been writing his own music since 2003. He comes from a background of classical music (violist for 7 years) and currently makes all of his music just for fun. His tracks tend to be on the darker side of full on, and his influences are Azax Syndrom, Xenomorph, Grapes of Wrath, Absolum, Twisted System, and Digital Talk.

Cortex A.k.a Assaf Weizmann (25) from south of Israel has been toying with psychedelic music since the age of 15 and releases under many different labels. While the Red Hook does not have subways running through its underground yet,
there are other options:

• Smith/9 St F and G train stops: For your convenience we will have a SHUTTLE making runs from the Smith/9 St F and G train stops to the Venue!!!!!
SHUTTLE: Shuttle will run from 10pm until 3:30am, pickups at the F/G Smith/9 St stop every 25 minutes. Shuttle will be marked, look for a sign in the side window ALLADIN NEW YEARS EVE SHUTTLE.
