1. 9pm-2am at The Dance Tunnel Tickets: £10 Advance, More On The Door In a world in which upstart DiY talent is flooding the gates of electronic music, a few recent voices have been so strong as to be startling. Lapalux is certainly one such. As singular as a brilliant artist always should be, his instinctive understanding of the atmospheric power of texture grips the ear immediately on listening. ‘Nostalchic’ is his debut album, mission statement, and the climax of many years of studying his craft. Evoking nostalgia without ever sounding nostalgic the album is his most focused document to date, adding his beloved R&B and soul into elements of house and hip hop, all with the trademark Lapalux finish; infectious, lopsided swing and achingly deep texture. Having made fans out of Diplo and SBTRKT, remixed everyone from Lianne La Havas via Crystal Fighters to Bonobo, Tawiah, AlunaGeorge and Speech Debelle, as well as supporting FlyLo and playing the main stage at Sonar and in Japan with Clark, it’s prime time for Lapalux’s debut full length. Happily, it was well worth the wait. Also Joining us to celebrate the release is Baths latest and greatest exponent Slugabed. Signed to Ninja Tune who then subsequently released his debut album to critical acclaim, his single ‘Sex’ plagued offices everywhere with its infectious bassline and vibed out 80’s chords and left people whistling it to themselves for weeks after. Live he is a force to be reckoned with and is a dab hand at knowing how to get a crowd moving, we know you’ll want to be down early for this guy. On DJ duties will be the ever reliable Moxie. Invited by NTS radio to host since their inception, Moxie has since had her own fortnightly show where she showcases her love of music, ranging from the latest dancefloor cuts to forgotten disco-edits. Her tastes do not end there but extend into the myriad of modern electronic music meaning that you’re never quite sure what’s going to be brought to the party, but you do know it will be good! Line Up: LAPALUX (Live) SLUGABED (Live) MOXIE Tickets: £10 Advance, More On The Door

Tickets available here: www.soundcrashmusic.com/hidden-orchestra-plus Fresh from selling out XOYO on their own back in May, the Scottish quartet head now to the cavernous space known as Village Underground in Shoreditch to deliver their bass heavy, brooding and beautiful sounds. Having found a perfect balance between electronic beats, deep basslines, string instruments and the astonishing synergy of their two drummers (!) Hidden Orchestra succeed in putting on a show that is as stimulating for the mind as it is for the body. Tonight the band will perform tracks from their forthcoming album out October 1st. We can’t recommend this band enough. Hidden Orchestra will be joined on the bill by none other than Anchorsong! His remarkable performances are an awe-inspiring showcase of improvisation, conveyed effortlessly with a soulful warmth most acoustic acts strive for and a sense of spectacle rarely ever achieved in live electronic music. Joining him on stage will be his string quartet, combining with his samples and melodies to create simply stunning music. Setting the place on fire will be DJ Kentaro, for our money the finest turntablist anywhere in the world, who has turned his attention to a heavier, dirtier sound! It’s gonna go OFF!
