Old Man

Recommended Posts

I hated every day of school
First grade to the Master's Degree
I hated all of my teachers
Hated them, and they hated me
Wanted no bullets in my back
Wanted no part of Vietnam
While Lyndon and King Richard
Sat on the hydrogen bomb

I'm an old man now
Looking for love and truth
I'll die in the search
Because they're out of reach
Life is all in vain
Living with pain and fear
I'm an old man now
I know there's nothing here

I hated every job I had
Surrounded by pure idiots
I hated all of my bosses
Getting fired, I'm done with it
Never should have gotten married
Marriage only leads to divorce
Giving up autonomy
And freedom to the courts

I'm an old man now
Looking for love and truth
I'll die in the search
Because they're out of reach
Life is all in vain
Living with pain and fear
I'm an old man now
I know there's nothing here

I'll hang on because of my son
Endure this life until it's done

I'm an old man now
Looking for love and truth
I'll die in the search
Because they're out of reach
Life is all in vain
Living with pain and fear
I'm an old man now
I know there's nothing here

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
