lynnanderson.jpgDENTON, Texas - Lynn Anderson, who won a Grammy for "Rose Garden" in 1970, was charged with drunk driving Thursday after police found her passed out in her car on the shoulder of a highway.

Police received a report Thursday morning of a car weaving and driving onto the shoulder on Interstate 35. The caller followed the car until it pulled over and stopped near Denton, about 35 miles north of Dallas, police said.

Anderson, 57, was arrested after officers woke her and conducted a field sobriety test. She was released on $1,000 bond, police said.

I knew a guy that had that same thing happen to him. He was found not guilty because the cops did not see him driving. They only saw him "drunk in public". The only way she will get convicted is if the person that saw her driving shows up and testifies in court.
