Push The Night welcomes two of the most respected producers in dance music for an intimate and extended showcase on Cielo's legendary sound system. Featuring a live performance by Henry Saiz (aka Hal Incandenza), Robert Babicz, and an additional DJ set by Saiz as part of his "Reality Is For Those Who Are Not Strong Enough To Confront Their Dreams" album tour - tonight shines the spotlight on two artists who have consistently released on some of the world's most prominent underground labels (Bedrock, Balance, Kompakt, Sudbeat, Global Underground). Also featuring an early set by James Gill of System Recordings and ReInvented - tonight is going to be one for the books.

Henry Saiz' long awaited artist album debut 'Reality Is For Those Who Are Not Strong Enough To Confront Their Dreams' brings out his distinctive analogue-driven, pulsing house-meets-futuristic-pop edge combined with field recordings, deep atmospherics and a tempo that focuses on the listening experience above all else. As Henry puts it, "I believe that electronic music can, and should, have a message". Indeed his infinite palate of sounds and textures evoke much more complex feelings and mindscapes than traditional pop-rock instruments - transmitting a message (and thrill) to the listener on many levels both on and off the dancefloor.”

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
