Scattered, Smothered & Covered

I woke up this morning
Put on a Little Big Town CD
You know I love those voices
Karen and Kimberly sing to me
I lay in my bathtub
Soaking suds in my own pontoon
Drove out to the Waffle House
Caught a glimpse of the setting moon

Scattered, Smothered & Covered
Three scrambled eggs and coffee
Hash browns with cheese topping
Scattered, Smothered & Covered

Heard them on the juke box
"Little White Church" just for me
Born and raised in the boondocks
Phillip and Jimi harmony

Scattered, Smothered & Covered
Three scrambled eggs and coffee
Hash browns with cheese topping
Scattered, Smothered & Covered

I know every Waffle House waitress
I know them, and they know me

Scattered, Smothered & Covered
Three scrambled eggs and coffee
Hash browns with cheese topping
Scattered, Smothered & Covered

Modulate:
Scattered, Smothered & Covered
Three scrambled eggs and coffee
Hash browns with cheese topping
Scattered, Smothered & Covered

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
