Nuthouse Called Nashville

Right next to Music Row
The traffic is a nightmare
Cops are running wild
Dogs are everywhere
Singers, writers, pickers
Living in a song
Half this town is drunk
Everything is wrong

I'm an island of sanity
In this Nuthouse Called Nashville
I don't fit in this town
I'm just stranded here
It's such a crazy place
This campus called Vanderbilt
I'm an island of sanity
In this Nuthouse Called Nashville

I'm somehow trapped in this
Lunatic society
Bums on every corner
Want money from me
Ain't a brain between them
Football's all they know
All they care about
Is "Go Titans go!"

I'm an island of sanity
In this Nuthouse Called Nashville
I don't fit in this town
I'm just stranded here
It's such a crazy place
This campus called Vanderbilt
I'm an island of sanity
In this Nuthouse Called Nashville

I'll never be one of them
Got to escape this asylum

I'm an island of sanity
In this Nuthouse Called Nashville
I don't fit in this town
I'm just stranded here
It's such a crazy place
This campus called Vanderbilt
I'm an island of sanity
In this Nuthouse Called Nashville

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
