Dzihan & Kamien

From Vienna, the city that brought us Kruder & Dorfmeister come the dynamic duo Dzihan & Kamien (pronounced Gee (as in gee-wiz)-hahn and Kammy-en.)

Combination of Eastern sensuality and hard-driving Western percussion. Vlado Dzihan had come from Sarajevo, in what was then Yugoslavia, where he was raised in a musical family. Mario Kamien came from Switzerland, where he was born to German and Italian parents with Polish roots. Their shared interest in the music of the Near East led to their freeform mix of Arabic strings, elusive sampled vocals, and irresistible trip-hop rhythms.

Listen to them.

Until February I wasnt able to really take advantage of all the music tips here or anywhere else because I had no space on my computer. That has changed and your previous choices are being highly scrutinized :)

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
